After standing in the same spot for hours it paid off I guess, we made it on the parade this morning!! Our niece thought it would be so cool to see Aunt Darlene and Uncle John on TV so we did it stood in the heat and sun (got burnt) for our 5 seconds of fame...lol! Here are some shots I pulled off the TV, we have yellow dots above our heads. These shots were about 9 minutes into the parade when Robin Roberts did her first MG spot.

~Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope all your wishes came true!

HEY!! I SAW that part!! I kept watching and, looking for lime green DIS. I never thought we'd have DISer's incognito! ;) COOL!!!:smooth:

That must have been so much fun to be there, then come home and see it all again on Christmas morning!

Lucky You!

(Will you do it again another year?)

I, too, kept looking for lime green! Very cool!!!:D

TC:cool:

While I was watching, I kept saying that there must be a DISser there somewhere. There you are!

It was a mad house, people actually pushing and hitting for spots in sections but we just paced ourselves and if someone was rude we remembered how we weren't and were the bigger people about it. We got into the spot because a CM saw us and asked if we wanted to be in a MG spot and we said ::yes:: so he moved our group of about 5/6 people with him to the other side of MS. When we got there he put us in the front and the camera man told us to make noise so we DID and he said "alright I want to see from here (my fiance') over..." yahoo our day had paid off.

We packed drinks/snacks because once you get somewhere on the route you better stay there because if you move the herd rushes in. It's not Walmart day after Thanksgiving crazy but people can be pushy.
Plan on getting there early if you go and it didn't stop filming until around 3 or so...

~Sorry I didn't wear the lime green, I did, but it was chilly after a while so I had to put my Disney Dreams sweatshirt on. Counting the days till next year! ::yes::

Very Cool! I knew there had to be some DISers there somewhere!

I'll have to go back and check the DVD that I am making of the parade to see if I can spot you.

I was at WDW during the entire time that they filmed the parade, but I didn't have the patience to stand around all day for the chance to be on TV. A couple years ago Ray Sharpton and I could be seen briefly on the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire show that was filmed at WDW, but we didn't have to fight any crowds or stand in one spot for hours to get our 15 milliseconds of fame.

Congrats to you for your perseverance.

And have fun at the WWTBAM taping in a couple of weeks.

We were there for the filming, too, but I haven't been able to watch the whole parade from Christmas day yet. I was taping it but was too busy wrapping gifts to glue my eyes to the set. Now I have to wrap more presents and clean my house, but I'm dying to watch the whole thing closely. We didn't stay in one spot long enough so I know we won't be on as clearly as you were, but hope to see us in a crowd shot. Congratulations!
