joanb - congrats on the bellyflop - I am afraid of that one.
Jim- we were the middle couple - 7 years. Here is how we got picked - I am pooh sized - I weigh probably close to 80 -90 pounds more than DH. He is very fit and works out, etc. I am not. So they were encouraging us to go crazy - he says to me - jumno into my arms, and I said WHAT?!?!? (Like have you lost your mind?!?!?) And he says JUMP! And I did and we started making out and fell back onto the stage but didn't miss a beat on making out. Then I accidentally fell backwards and did a back somersault. It was embarrassing. But they picked us!
takemeaway - ok here are a couple :
1. What kind of bird is your wife? A. a dove, B. a red BREASTED robin, or C. a SWALLOW. (insert your own jokes.)
2. Where is the oddest place you and your husband "discovered the magic?" Well - my story involved a mobile home ON A LOT FOR SALE, and was very embarrassing - but the audience loved it.
It was really fun and I am so glad we got picked.
Thanks for posting the picture. I haven't even found our medals yet and I am still unpacking souvenirs in the middle of studying for comprehensive finals for my masters degree. ugh.
