Well, we returned on Sunday from 9 days at the World! We really were hoping to do or see all 4 of the new rides/attractions/shows for the 50th celebration and we were able to. Woo Hoo!

Soarin was my absolute favorite. It is an amazing ride that is now my favorite ride. I really wish my mom would go on it but she is terrified of heights and I think it will bother her. My son who goes on Tower of terror and rock and roll rollercoaster with out a problem also has a fear of heights and a fear of falling and he was a bothered by Soarin so I know Mom won't like it. The problem is having nothing under your feet. This is a must do attraction and I will definatly do it again as much as possible.

Lights, Motor, Action Stunt Show (I think that was the name) came in a real close second to Soarin. It was a real good show and put me on the edge of my seat. I was definatly afraid for the stunt people many times during the show. This is a must see and I will definatly do it again.

Cinderellabration - I liked it. I would even say I liked it better than the old show but those type of stage shows where you have to stand around and try and see over other peoples heads just don't really do it for me (and I am 6 feet tall). I really like Beauty and the Beast so I don't know if it is because you actually get to sit in a stadium type theatre where other people can't get in front of you or what? Anyway, it was a real cute show and I was glad I saw it once, but I wouldn't take the time to see it again.

Lucky the Dinosaur - It was really cool to see an animatronic robot walking around on its own and they do a cute little skit with Chester and Hector. BUT, I wouldn't take the time to see it again.

Anyway, those were just my opinion on the new stuff for what its worth!!

Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for the reviews.

I was there the same time as you and was estatic to go on Soarin'. It was fabulous! We didn't even realize it was open until I asked a CM when the opening date was and he said May whatever and said if you head back there now you can go on! Of course we had to wait about an hour but it was worth it!

thanks for the info.. i hope my ds will go on sorin.. does it feel like you will fall

When did you go see Lights, Motor, Action? We were at MGM on Weds. and were disappointed to be told that it wouldn't be showing again until May 5th. Well, we'll be back in Dec., so will have to catch it then.... :earsboy:

DH and I were there this past weekend and also got to try out Soarin and the Stunt Show. We enjoyed Soarin, but I was blown away by the stunt show! I wasn't really that excited about it when they first announced it, but it is really well done! The stadium seating is huge, the set is beautiful, the stunts were very exciting, and it was super cool to learn "how they do that" in the movies. I can't wait to go back and see it again!!

Welcome back to MI, Terry!

I am glad you got a chance to see Soarin and Lights, Motor, Action! We saw Soarin in CA. a few years ago and got to see Lights over Easter when they had a soft opening! Both are EXCELLENT!

It sounds like you had a great time! I'm hoping you do a trip report!

doesn't feel like falling--feels like flying! :goodvibes

Ethans Mom.... we also went on Wednesday and were told the standard answer that they were telling everyone that came up to them and that was that the next showing wouldn't be until May 5th. Well my son was so diappointed that one of the CM's actually took us aside and said well we aren't supposed to tell anyone but they may have a show on Sunday, May 1st. He told us to go to any guest relations window around 11:00 on Sunday and they would be able to tell us if they were going to do a show on Sunday. Sure enough we walked over to Epcot at 11:00 and they called MGM and were told they were doing a show at 1:00 on that day so we went and saw it. It was definatly worth it! We had to leave for the airport at 3:20 that day so we just made it in time.

kelljacques@aol.com..... I didn't feel like I was falling, but I can see where those who have a fear of falling or a fear of heights might have a problem. You are raised high in the air with not much holding you in and then the screen gives you the illusion that you are even higher. My son is tall enough that he didn't have to put on the middle strap, but I think if he decideds to go on it again, he could try using the middle strap and see how it goes.
