Has anyone else ever been there? It's at the Sawgrass Mills Mall in South Florida. I thought they were a chain but apparently this is the only one. But it is SUCH a cool place, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see more popping up.

My older dd was the only one who had been there before, so the rest of us were all newbies. My inlaws are in town and we were looking for something fun for the kids to do.

What is Wannado City? It's a virtual city where the kids are in charge. They learn how to be a firefighter, learn how to be a doctor, they get makeovers and are in a fashion show, they even work at Publix. There are almost 200 different jobs. You earn wongo bucks for doing jobs that you can spend on little activities and rides that they have in there. It is so imaginative, I was just in awe the first few hours we were there!

My girls and even my son had an absolute blast there, we can't wait to go again when my mil comes back in April. Anyone else been here before?

We went on Saturday for the first time with my DS and he hated it. He is 6 and has been asking to go for ages, now that parents are free, we finally decided to go. We were there for about 3 hours and he couldn't wait to leave. I think part of it was that it was so crowded. Was it very crowded today?

We were there on Saturday too. We went first thing, the first 2/3 hours were amazingly quiet, we did most of what we did that first 3 hours. It was very crowded after that, but that is what i'm sure made it miserable for your son. Once kids go back to school and all, it should be quieter, even on weekends. We were there for like 7 hours...

My dd has been 3 or 4 times. Bores me to tears. She is almost 10 so I hope she won't want to go any more. She has tons of Wonga (sp?) dollars though and had them out just today playing with her cash register....LOL. Glad to hear parents are free now. I always though $16 to sit on a bench for 8 hours was way too much especially after paying $30 for the kid to get in.

There was recently an article in the Sun-Sentinel that attendance was much lower than expected, so they conducted surveys and the most common complaint was that parents had to pay and then just sit. That is the reason we held off for so long. It cost us for 2 adults and one child just over $31, because they charge you $2 or 3 for the bracelet and each person in your party has to have one.

we went and december--- it was a great place for the kids.

We are really excited cause they are opening one in NJ ---my kids can't wait to go back

We go every time we visit dh's parents. They live near Sawgrass. My son (4)talks about it nonstop. He loves that place. My 6 yo also loves it.

We were there on 12/26 and that was the first miserable time we've had. The first couple of hours were fine but then it got too crowded. There was a line probably 20 deep just to get out of that place. Dh finally went and got our money back. It was so crowded that I was starting to have a panic attack and I literally couldn't get out of that place (couldn't find the kids :rotfl2: They were off being police.) Eventually I just got in line to exit and dh tracked the kids down. Even though we were miserable, they were still having a good time.

But honestly that was the only time we've had a bad time. I usually bring a book, or dh & I just sit and talk.

Does anyone know anything about the Jersey location???
like when it opens???

I haven't been able to find any recent info
