We want more points.... go for same UY or same resort?

there was a chart posted about a year ago that was like a pie graph showing what percentage of contracts each use year has. Because there are unequal numbers with regard to this, some UY's are just much harder to come by than others. Does anybody have the link to this graph that they can share?

TIA!

When you purchase resale with the same UY it's possible to have that contract added on to an existing membership. You must have the deed titled exactly as your current one. And let your agent and closing company know that you are already a current member and would like this contract added on to that membership. It wouldn't hurt to contact DVC either when closing although I've never done that and have had several resales successfully added on to the current membership.
I agree completely with this sets of suggestions. I have also contacted DVC and also put the info into our contract. I let everyone I could know at every step of the way.

Personally I would put resort and price (value) over UY, esp if looking at a different resort than you currently own. Ideally for most would be to have both. However, there are advantages of having different UY and the one advantage of having them together, the banking %, has evaporated.

That pie chart totally explains why it took me 4 months to find a 150 SSR resale contract with April use year that wasn't stripped.

To the OP- tough question!!! Here's a few questions: Do you love the resort you already have? (We loved the THV's and wanted 11 month window for Christmas especially- so we HAD to add on there!) Do you like to resort hop?

How organized are you? I might be able to go with the month or two before me (or after if it applies to you) or maybe 6 month mark, but anything else would confuse me too much!
