We talk too much....

Okay, so lets talk about something else....hmmmm....do you know of any new Disney rumors? I haven't been to scream scape in a while.

I do have some interesting facts I got out of my new disney guide book though.

  • about 100 pairs of sun glasses are turned into Guest Relations at WDW a day!!
  • There are 11,000 parking spaces at MK

Oops sorry...didn't see this until after my last post.

I agree, we should change the subject, I am all teary eyed.

I have never seen the parking lot at MK full. With 11,000 spaces full, I think I would just turn around and go the other way.:rotfl2:

That's awesome! Hope you are able to get everything you want. Don't blame you for wanting to wait on the TV though. Those things are pretty expensive. But fun indeed :thumbsup2

Haven't heard any new rumors lately.

Nifty facts.

I'm excited about the furniture set. It's a couch, loveseat, (recliner for free if we get the set Buddy wants), a glass top wrought iron table with four matching chairs, the bed frame and head/foot boards, a dresser, chest of drawers, night tables, and a mirror that matches the set.

That's okay. Yes, we need to get the topic on an to a more light hearted note before we all start crying at work. Especiallly for Cheri

:lmao: me too! I've never seen it full either but when we used to go with my grandmother back in the day it was pretty packed then.

wow that sounds awesome!! When you get all that you'll have to take pictures and show us. I love new furniture almost as much as I love new electronics:goodvibes

I was actually looking for pictures on Ashley's Furniture's website. That's were this store gets ALL their stock from.

  • Walt Disney origionally did the voices for Mickey and Minnie
  • President roosevelt showed Mickey cartoons at the White House in the 1930's
  • in 1933 Mickey received 800,000 fan letters, the most of any Hollywood star
  • During World War II, the password of the Allied forces on D-Day was "Mickey Mouse"
  • Mickey was banned in Nazi Germany in 933, the Soviet Union in 1936, Yugoslavia in 1937, Italy in 1938 and East Germany in 1954
  • Pluto once spoke. In the 1931 short "The Moose Hunt," the dog got down on his knees and, Impersonating Al Jolson, proclaimed "Mammy!" Moments later, Pluto looked into Mickey's eyes and whispered "Kiss me!"

That last one freaks me out a bit

Idk what kind it is. We have to go look at it. We have a chain of the "rent to own" type stores that we're going to get it from. Couldn't afford it any other way. 7.99$ a week or however much more we want to put down on it per month. We're also going to look into a new living room set ( couch and loveseat), kitchen table/chair set, and a bedroom set that all comes as a package for 80.00$ a month. Buddy wants to look at the 32" Flat screen that we can pay 80$ a month on... think we're going to hold off on that one.

hmmm...are you really going do to that? I don't want to like burst your bubble or anything...but I'd shy away from getting anything from those rent-to-own places. I think they are scam artists. Don't want you to get ripped off. Just my 2 cents.

OMG - I just read your post on Lesley's report. Between that and Loomis dying, I just lost it.:sad1:

awww  thanks I'm sorry I made you lose your cool

 Thank you for being concerned for me!

It's a place called 1st Choice. I've had a few friends get stuff from them before. They don't buy second hand stuff. They purchase Ashley's Furniture's surplus inventory.

I have Ashley living room furniture. We got ours from....BIG LOTS though! You should really check it out. They have some nice stuff and you will come out paying a LOT less than if you buy through the rental place.

That's what I'm hoping. We went in a few weeks ago and their stock was beautiful, we just can't afford Ashley's prices outright. We don't have a big lots anywhere close anymore. I LOVED BIG LOTS. Have you ever been to Tuesday Morning?

are you sure? I thought for sure ya did. You should look up the closest one to you. Even if you had to drive 30 minutes it would still be a great deal. I'd look at what they have online first and see. We have a brown microsuede living room set that we've had for...hmm...2 and 1/2 years maybe (sorry my memory is a lil fuzzy) and it's still in wonderful shape. Also just remember this word after you buy: SCOTCHGUARD. :thumbsup2

I've been there and I've never seen any *REAL* (practical use) furniture there.

no problem-o

You're welcome

I love big lots too!! We almost bought a recliner there but decided to buy one through lay z boy to get the warranty and such.:thumbsup2

We had one not 5 minutes from out house, but they closed it... and Ashley's Furniture took its place. Bit ironic. Big Lots does the renting stuff too? I didn't mean Tuesday morning for furniture sorry, I meant for just nifty stuff in general. It's right next to one of the 1st Choice stores, so that's why I thought about it. I love all their home decorative stuff.

Too funny not to share!

  • Each costume was handtailored with period techniques.
  • The Lincoln figure is a simplified remake of an ambitious, though problematic, creation that debuted at the 1964 World's Fair. Whenever there was a spike in current, Disney's first Abe would flail its arms, hit itself repeatedly in the head and then slam down in its chair.

isn't Big Lots great? We've bought a lot of stuff there over the years. We also got an EXCELLENT deal on our furniture b/c we got it on Friends and Family night. We had been eyeing it for a while and then when we found out about the F&F night I went to the store right before it closed for the day (except for F&F) and SAT THERE on the couch we wanted so that JUST IN CASE it was their last one left and I did NOT intend on leaving that store without that furniture or at least a receipt for it with a nice big tag that says SOLD on the sofa. :rotfl:

Mike had to work that night...and I had to purchase so we could pick up later. But I was SO EAGER to get that furniture home that it killed me! You shoulda seen the nasty old thing we had before. It was a thrift store couch. And not that all thrift store couches are nasty, but this one was---we had a make-shift cover over it at that point in time. Were SO happy to get rid of it!
