We had tons of fun despite the crowds! We got to the parks well before opening and were able to see/do what we wanted during our trip. I know some people say to avoid EHM but we were able to go on sooo many rides during that first hour of the day at MK. My dd and I didn't even have to get off the Pooh ride, we just went around again!
We stayed at the Swan and enjoyed the hotel and grounds--the transportation to Epcot and MGM via walking or boat was great. Having access to the Boardwalk area was nice too. The only problem we had was the billing at the hotel. Check your receipt carefully!!! We were overcharged by $640! For some reason our room rate showed up $75 more per night than quoted when I reserved the room. We were also charged $40 for some type of "recreation" and there was another error too. A quick visit to the front desk and they cleared up the mistakes.
The hotel was also most helpful when my dd came down with a very painful ear infection that necessitated a predawn trip to the E.R. on Easter Sunday. I don't know if all Disney hotels do this, but they picked up the tab for the town car service to take us to the E.R., then to Walgreens and back to the hotel. That was an awesome thing to do for us.
All in all we had a wonderful trip even if the last few days were cooler than we would've liked. We've been home less than 24 hours and we are in the middle of a lovely snowstorm...too bad we couldn't have stayed in FL a few more days!:)

congrats on the wonderful trip! So sorry about your daughter. it was nice of disney to do that! Because I'm a character nerd... did you see any characters that aren't so common?

We just got back last night also!:sad1: Call me crazy, but I didn't think the crowds were all that bad. Of course the super popular rides had a wait, but luckily we didn't encounter really long lines anywhere!

Sorry about your daughter, I know the cold weather didn't help things much! At least you got her taken care of, that sounds like superb service from the Swan.

We were in the Boardwalk Villa's. The only 2 crowded days we had was the Thursday before Easter at Epcot-it was awful and the Tuesday after Easter at MGM. Crowds were horrendous and I even followed Tour Guide Mike's suggestions.

Our longest wait was Everest. We did everything we wanted at Animal Kingdom on Good Friday and just decided to wait in line for an hour to ride Everest. We met a couple with 2 teenage dd's from Charleston WV. She kept me talking.

I was so sad I didn't meet any DIS members, and I was to afraid to ask anyone if they were members too.
