Well I can count, say a few colors, ask how are you and tell you my name and say thank-you, but thats all. How difficult will visiting Disneyland Paris be if we do not speak French?

I asked the same question a few months ago, and was happy to get the response that most CMs are billinguual. It was also noted that many people thought that after a quick Bonjour, it would be good to say "Parlez-vous anglais?" (Do you speak English)

There is no need to speak French! Most/All attractions are in Frensh and English! And every CM has to speak at least French and English! Some of them speak more but F+E is a must! You can enjoy your holiday as much as any French visitors!

With a smile for the Castmembers and English you will have no problem at all.

I got by with my schoolgirl french , although I do think it is nice to make a bit of an effort as a guest in the country to try a little of the local language so I'm sure you'll get by just fine. :goodvibes

I speak no French and had no problems anywhere in Paris especially at DLP. In fact the only place I ran into an issue was in Etretat in rural Normandy.

Absolutely :thumbsup2

You'll have no problems :)

No problems at all...
As a mater of fact we started playing a game to see how we were addressed. We ended up with like 23 BonJours, 18 Hello's and 1 Hola.
We didn't have any problems at all! (at Disney and Paris).
Hope you all have a great time!

That's more than many guests. You'll do fine.

I think this is the best way to start the conversation :thumbsup2
Next, you'll see nearly everybody speak english quite well among the CM. So, don't worry, and enjoy :wave2:

You'll be fine. I was a bit worried and bought a phrasebook but didn't have to use it once. Every time I initiated anything in French the CM seemed to cotton on to me being English/rubbish at French *lol* and just answered in English. I do like to make an effort in countries where English isn't the first language but it seemed like it was more of an inconvenience to the CMs for me to speak French to them than English

Outside of DLP (such as in Paris, Nice, Monte Carlo), we found some basic French, a phrasebook, and a translation of menu terms extremely helpful.

I so know that feeling, they always speak english to me even if I have spoken in french to them. I didn't think my french was that bad!

Even in the hotels they speak good english, some of them are english anyway.

I don't think it's because your English is bad, I think it is first for your convenience, and because french people are not used to foreigners speaking french more than the basic phrases :) .
