WOW! Brenda! "This drink tasted like frothy, milk-tinged cat p*#$." (Blocked word for DIS ) That is a Very Descriptive description! I am so sorry -being a person with a diabetic cat you hit a nail right on the head - perfect and I hope you didn't have to pay for that drink!
As for the sushi place .. it sounded like you landed in a Mike Myers Deeter skit! At least you were not asked to touch a monkey!

My aunt went to WDW many years ago and reported back to me that she received LOTS of free stuff at the F&W festival. She had no idea that it was a once in awhile event. This was back when WDW was just sort of a rumor to me. But she said they were handing out food left and right. Musta been the early days

Sushi should never smell fishy so you were right to avoid the crab. If you want fabulous sushi, come and visit us in Vancouver where it seems there's a Starbuck's and sushi place on every block. We have some of the best sushi places anywhere and are spoiled by low prices. Actually Vancouver is known for it's great restaurants and I bet you'd have some interesting dining experiences here if you ever decide to give Disney a miss.

Glad you enjoyed the free stuff ... I don't think there was any more after this; unless you count that golf ball at Fantasia Minigolf and since that wasn't edible and wasn't filled with alcohol it probably doesn't count.

Yeah, your aunt must have been there in the good old days. There aren't nearly as many freebies at the F&W festival these days as there used to be.

Briarmom!!! We did cancel V&A ... that economic meltdown and watching 50% of our retirement savings disappear made us feel like we should tighten our belts ... a little.

I have heard from more than one person that Vancouver has a terrific food scene (especially sushi). Actually Jay and I had talked about heading up to Vancouver in February 2010 for the Winter Olympics but that plan's been smashed to bits by the economy.

I appreciate the suggestion ... we'll definitely keep Vancouver on our list!

Wow I'm de lurking again...I just did this for MickeyNicki and now I'm hooked on your TR...thanks for all the reports they are great...I completely understand about your "issues" my sis had colorectal cancer and has alot of the same "issues" as chrones...so hang in there and take care of yourself and just take one day at a time right? Just a note to describe the Rosa Regale my sisters and I have described it as almost a sparkling sangria not to sweet...but definitly not dry...and thanks to the poster who said it was at costco.. I will have to run by there today!!! Here in the south it is at Publix.
