Hi everyone! We just got our AP vouchers last week for our upcoming trip. We live in South Florida so we can definitely come up with reasons to head up to WDW whenever we want. We were up there in July on a spontaneous trip. I pulled out our itemized bill and calculated all of the restaurants that we ate at that would have qualified for the DDE had we done it. The 20% savings would have brought us around $48 just on that one trip. I'm guessing its probably smart for us to get the card when we get to the first park since we'll easily be able to pay for the card with the amount we are saving, especially now that we will be buying a kids meal for our son instead of giving him baby food.

I am right..right? LOL

Are you counting the $48 savings after they include the 18% gratuity?

Oops I was just taking the charge totals from our Folio that they printed out when we checked out in July. Guess it does include gratuity. Better go rerun the numbers then.

We bought our card for the first time this past March 08. We have used it for so many TS meals I cannot count that high!

Here is the easy comparison. making the rash assumption that you will normally leave a tip in the 18% range.

Without DIW
Meal $100
Tax $6.50
Tip $18.00

Total $124.50

Buying $100 meal with DIW

Meal $80
Tax $5.20
Tip $18.00

Total $103.20

Savings $21.30. And this is per $100 of menu prices.

If you save an average of $48 per trip and are making more than one trip per year, then yes the Tables in Wonderland card will likely be a good deal for you.

No real need to rerun the numbers with gratuity included, the fact that it's an auto gratuity doesn't negatively reflect in the savings experienced with the card unless you don't tip without the card.

Thanks we normally tip close to 20% anyways. Ok this is a good deal then! LOL Thanks everyone!!!
