Yes, it is official -- we have made reservations for our first trip "home". I got a membership/contract # on Friday and we were in the MS system this morning!!!

Made reservations @ BCV 10/24 - 10/30. The CM was very surprised to see availability for those dates. I was speaking to Lindsay who not only helped me decide what view to request (Epcot) but also gave some supermarket tips. She was so patient and helpful, I would appreciate a link to email some positive comments about her.

Our home resort is OKW but my kids would have been devasted to get there and find the main pool closed due to construction. Hopefully we will be able to stay there during our next visit. This is a true example of the flexibility w/DVC.

We have a 1-bdrm reserved. Didn't check on a studio although I was tempted as the contract we bought only had 64pts left for '04 so we had to borrow quite a few from '05.

Yes, we are planning on attending MNSSHP. I emailed WDW and received a reply stating dates/tickets should be available in May. We have never attended the Food and Wine Festival and are looking forward to sampling some foreign delicacies (especially desserts -- Yum!).

As far as adventure meal eating...my kids are into any kind of eating!!!

Basically I told the CM (Lindsay) that it would be our first visit to a DVC resort and confessed my ignorance. I told her the age of my kids and said their favorite thing besides the parks, was the pool. At that point she checked for BCV, and as stated, was surprised to find availability. She asked me the typical questions regarding how many, smoking or no, and then asked if I would like to request a view. Again, I pleaded ignorance and asked for a summary of what the selections were. She gave me the rundown and said she thought we would probably like "Epcot View". I told her I considered her the expert and any recommendations would be fine with me.

As for grocery shopping, she said to use the Winn Dixie on SR535 because so many people go to Goodings since it's closer and pay outrageous prices not realizing other options are just a few minutes down the road.

Boy, what a pleasant experience compared to the hotel-chain "800"'s that barely give you time to provide a credit card number before they hang up on you!!!
