My family got to DC and saw the Mickey Statues. It was really cute. I could see that quite a few of the designers really put some thought into the designs. There were some that left me scratching my head in wonder at the theme and/or the designer.

Here are our pictures

Where is this? Is that down town at the Reagan building?
Yep. If you take the Metro, its right up the escalators from the Federal Triangle stop (Blue & Orange lines)

Your photos are great. I like the way that you have a picture of the base of the statues with the information about each one.

We were in DC last week with my son's Boy Scout Troop and saw the Mickey statues too! They were awesome - we took pictures of all of them! Now I have to scrap them! :earboy2:

Those are cute. Does anyone know of a website where they show each statue and the name of the celebrity who had designed it?

We seen them at DC a couple of weeks ago. They were sooo cute!!! :teeth:
Glad it worked out that we could catch them!

EXACTLY!!

Rosie's was the only statue I didn't like ... what was she thinking?

We saw the statues at WDW in January '04, but I wasn't able to get photos of all of them ... the grandkids were too eager to get into MK ... so we went to see them in DC ... I took photos of all the statues in the plaza but didn't get all 75 ... 72 or so, including the statue designed for DC by G. Bryon Peck (#76) ... I wonder if a few were inside the building?

I'm planning to do an album just for my statue photos. And here's the link to all the statues:

Grandkids are unhappy that we can't afford to bid on one of the statues when they are auctioned off in NY next month.

Did anyone else notice that the DC Mickey had a snake fish as it's tail?

And my granddaughter spotted a hidden Mickey on the back of this statue.

But ya'll did get the 2 we were missing due to "injury" back so :-P

Ah ha! ... maybe that's why I didn't have photos of 75 Mickeys ...

I went to see then yesterday with my family. I guess that all of the statues had hidden mickey's. I found out just before we left to hit the American History Museum, so I only saw a few of them.

I took photos of the ones I liked, but yeah, Rosie O'Donnells was, well, junk.
