What a show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! He was due to tape two concerts in Quebec City last week in advance of his new CD being released for Valentines Day. They were looking for a small out of the way locale for him and his band to rehearse for the concert and the Arts Centre in our small town was chosen. It was very hush hush, they couldn't even announce who the "big name" was who would be coming to town until 1 week before the concert. The Arts Centre only holds about 600 people. He said he couldn't remember the last time he played in a setting this intimate. Although this was technically just a rehearsal, he/they were fantastic. He had his big band with him and they were joined by the string section from the Montreal Sympony Orchestra (or so I was told). It was just such a thrill for our small town to host such an event. What a performer, what a band. If you ever see the Quebec City concert televised, that was the show we saw in Brockville, Ontario two nights earlier. Although DW and I did not sit together (the person who got us the tickets asked for the 4 best tickets remaining, not necessarily together) we ended up in the 10th row only 7 seats apart. Great seats! Again WOW!!!!!!!!!!
