We never do polls, here's one we'd like to know!

We went with Rev. Knox. He seemed more down to Earth the Jack... I didn't want the officiant being the center of the show, thank you very much! That and we really want to write our own ceremony and he seemed the nicest about that.

One more vote for Rev. Miller. He felt like an old family friend and did a beautiful ceremony that mad us, laugh (quite a bit!), cry (in a good way!) and smile all the way through! He had options for three types of weddings (basically different levels of religious involvement). Our's was a civil ceremoney, but he did mention God once or twice, but that was it. He e-mailed us all the time to make sure we were ok and always finished them with "continue to be kind to one another". We even had a message from him on Christmas Eve! I personally wouldn't consider anyone else!

We had Jack Day and I have NOTHING but WONDERFUL things to say about him. He was so willing to work with us (DH was VERY nervous), was in constant contact with us and had such a warm and loving attitude. That was almost 3 years ago and I know he has had some health problems since then, so maybe that contributed to some of the problems other ladies have had with him.

OK, one last question...

For those of you who voted for Jack Day, could you please post the month and year you used him??

I'm worried about the fact that recently his health has been getting bad (poor guy ) and I want to see if most of the rave reviews have been prior to this past year. I don't know why I'm being so neurotic about this decision, but I guess I feel like the officiant sets the tone for your whole ceremony and it's really hard when you don't know anything about any of them.

After reading not so good posts about Rev Jack last year I got a little worried and a few weeks before the wedding DH spoke with him and didn't really seems to like him, we debated on changing to another officiant but in the end stuck with him. Boy were we glad we did.
He has to be one of the nicest sweetest men you could ever meet. After being so worried about our choice the moment we met him at the rehersal that all went away, he put us at ease and made us feel like we were the only ones he had ever done this for.
I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. If he's still around for our VR I will use him again.

Our wedding was in September.
