Oh well, we have to change dates and will lose the great rate of $88 for POR. Anyone know about what the AAA rate of AP rate was last year for July 9 th for moderates??? We used a post card rate for the dates we have but DH does not want to fly on July 4th....busy airports, expensive flights. I sont blame him at all.I am just wondering approx what to expect. Thanks.....

If you are actually flying on July 4th you should find the airports pretty quiet - it's the days right before and after the 4th that's busiest!

Last year the moderates were a flat $60 off for July 5 to August 28, AP rate.

$60 off would be good. Right now it is booked at $88.00 a night but....the dates are not working out as planned. I am going to have to talk to DH and decide if we should keep july 4 at the 88 rate or change and wait it out. The other deciding factor will be airfare. It seems to be quite high around the 4th and then goes way down so it all may balance out in the long run.
