Can you please help me find a nice non-Disney 2 bedroom hotel suite? We have 4 adults and 2 children, all family members. We aren't looking for a condo because we like the resort feeling nor do we want to have 2 hotel rooms. I thought I had a good one but the more reviews I read, the worse it's starting to sound.

Marriott Residence Inn on Palm is great. We've stayed there twice. One room had 2 big Q beds, the other room a single king bed, each rooms has it's own private bath, plus you have a fold out sleeper in the living room area, 3 TV's, full kitchen, table and chairs. Free breakfast in the mornings (a wonderful breakfast, btw) and a pool area that has a great resort feel. At Thanksgiving this past year we paid only $134. per night to stay there, booking directly through Marriott's website.

Have you checked Buena Vista Suites. The DIS's main page www.wdwinfo.com has some good deals for this hotel found here http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/Resorts/bvsuites/index.htm#hm-Buena It says $88/nt w/ breakfast. Can't beat that for a 2 room suite.
Or how about Cypress Pointes. The units there would be more similar to a condo, however, it is more of a hotel type resort. Good deals for them can usually be found through hotelkingdom.com.

I haven't stayed there yet but we are booked into Worldquest in July. The resort is new so I don't think you will find much on these boards about it but the few reviews I found at tripadvisor are great. The room rates seem very good also.
I'm editing to include a link to worldquest, http://worldquestorlando.com. They also provide continental breakfast and snacks.

We just got back from Cypress Pointe Grande Villas and all felt that it very much had a resort feel to it (in fact, the Phase I units are called Cypress Pointe Resort).

Another vote for Cypress Pointe, we stayed in the Grand Villas and loved it! It was a very convenient location, the pools were great and the little shop with take out food had everything you need. Also there is a grocery store and liquor store around the corner. Post office is also right there.

Hawthorn Suites on Canada Avenue has 2 bedroom suites. Plus it has a free hot breakfast. Nice clean rooms. i stay this past July on 4th week.

I also like a place that gives a resort feel and was quite happy with our stay at Cypress Pointe. We are heading back at the end of the month and staying here again, although in the phase II section.
Tripadvisor.com has some good photos of this resort if you click on the "candid photos". :thumbsup2

Good Luck finding something that you want. :earsgirl:

i know you said you like the resort feel and don't want a condo, but did you know that for less money than a 2-BR suite at a place like palomino suites or hawthorn suites you can rent a really nice 4-BR house at emerald island?

back in october, my wife and 3yo daughter were planning to stay 8 nights at palomino suites in a 1-BR unit. my parents and brother and sister were coming for 4 nights and staying in a 2-BR unit. total cost was around $2000. instead we rented a 4-BR house for 8 nights for $1300 and saved $700! and that was an expensive house! many are much cheaper.

just something to think about.

We are a family of 6 and we are staying at Windsor Hills resort, they are privately rented townhomes on a resort with waterslides, gym, pools, pool tables, ping pong, etc and they are high end with plasma's and beautiful furnishings. I am really looking forward to our choice, take a look....

There is a helpful and reputable member of the board here that owns one down there that is more appealing to the grown up crowd (no mickey rooms)........

Hope that gives you some other options and budget wise you are better off that 2 rooms and the thing we love about it is we can splash in the pool or watch a movie after the little ones are in bed.

Good Luck!

Thank you to all who offered suggestions but after a couple of anxious days stewing about this, I decided to cancel our existing reservation off-site and have booked two rooms at CSR. While it may not have the room we preferred, at least I know the level of quality. That was the issue I was struggling with the most. Now I can rest easy. :thumbsup2 Once again, thank you!
