:wave2: Hi, We are looking for something that will be small and easy to carry, that will be able to carry a change of clothes for a small child and some snacks. That isn't going to cost an arm and a leg. Does anyone have anything that worked esp. well for them? :dog:

I just bought an one shoulder backpack at walmart for $9 canadian. It's big enough to hold our Passporter, cameras, camcorders, extra batteries, ponchos, sunscreen, drinks and snacks. A change of clothes is an excellent idea and I'm sure with using the ziploc trick you could fit it in. We got two school age kids so we might have to go back and get another bag..
It's designed to go over the shoulder like a purse. Let me do a quick search and see if I can find you a picture.
Here's a link to one similar to the one I bought

Thank you so much for taking the time to look for the picture! That is so nice of you!

I actually just bought it..looks neat. And nice and small. Thank you!! :wizard:

I bought a small backpack on clearance at Target. It was $9 (in the women's purse section, not in the camping area). Was very lightweight and comfortable. Carried sunscreen, water bottle, light jacket or denim shirt, extra socks, etc., and still had room to stuff small purchases, etc. inside. First time I had used one (I had only done a fanny pack on previous trips) and I really liked it.

Final tip: I think it's important to "test drive" it at home before you cut the tags off! Put everything inside that you think you'll be carrying and wear it around the house for a little while. I started off with a backpack that was comfortable when empty, but once I put my stuff inside, it cut into my shoulders.

Good luck!

$9.99 backpack from DISCOVERY store it folds into a small clip thing (size of a pack of cigs.) and opens into a nice size backpack.very versital
