We just bought at SSR and got 210 points. We got what I think you all call developer points, which we banked for our September UY since we were days away from the April deadline. Anyway, that gives us 210 for this year, prompting us to bank the new September points for the next year, when we hope to take a MEGA Disney vacation. With 420 points, my tentative plan is as follows:

1) We can go to Disney for 5 days in April or February....65 points
2) Then, in the summer, we can do THREE weeks:
week 1: at Disney (studio)....123 points
week 2: Vero Beach (if available)....118 points
week 3: at Disney (studio, late August)....112 points

total points.....418 points!

That sounds too good to be true! My only concern is the "togetherness" of our family of 4. That is a lot of time for 4 people to be in a studio. I would consider upgrading to a 1-bedroom for the 4th week (thus borrowing from the next year's points) just so we can separate a bit (kids sleeping on the couch).

Depends on you and your family. Will you be in the parks all day or spending time in your villa? Do you want to have a kitchen, or do you eat out? It's all up to you.

I'd rather do two weeks in a 1BR than 4 weeks in a studio with 4 people.

I would rather do 12 days in a two bedroom than two weeks in a one bedroom! :thumbsup2

When we were touring the rooms, our guide told me that he would show me the "Million Dollar Door" later. That turned out to be the door to the bedroom. At the time, I chuckled but thought, "I'd rather sacrifice the room for more time in Disney." Of course, that was when I was thinking about a 1-week vacation. Now that I am thinking about four weeks, with three being consecutive, more room sounds like a better idea.

Very cool about the developer points!!! But I also would not be able to say for three consecutive weeks in a studio!! We are also a family of four and I would at least upgrade to a one bedroom with the kitchen and washer/dryer. The W/D will come in very handy if you are staying any length of time. Plus even if you don't cook in the kitchen we fill the fridge with drinks and snacks.

4 weeks, whoo hoo. Can't beat that. Test the waters. Try a 1 BDR and a 2 BDR your last week or earlier. Best to do it at the end of your trip (it will calm you down), but don't move too much in order to find out.
