We met Sean Astin.

DD and I just got home from our day at the Elf Convention. We got to meet Sean Astin. He autographed my copy of his book and DD's picture of Frodo and Sam. DD got her picture taken with him. We won't get the picture of a couple of weeks. We went to several sessions with different people who worked on the Lord Of The Rings movies. Very interesting. We saw some really different looking people in the crowd. We got some free t-shirts and I bought DD a very cool jacket.

Tomorrow, we go back to met Elijah Wood. DD is walking on air!

Yes, I think so. DD certainly thinks it is. She met the author of the book and animated movie "The Last Unicorn". She watched that movie a dozen times when she was little. She really got a kick out of meeting the author. He autographed a copy of the book for her. He gave her his business card and told her that he would contact her. They maybe going to make a live action version of the film. She will be a big fan.

Sean was very nice. We only had a minute with him because there were many people in line behind us. I told him how much I had enjoyed his book and that I thought it should be a must read for aspiring actors. He thanked me and asked me if I was an actor. I told him no, but DD is. He asked how long she had been acting. She told him and he told her to keep working at it. It would be worth it in the end.

He was very cute and much thinner than he was as Samwise.

We also so John Rhy-Davis, although we did not get his autograph.
