We Met Kyle Chandler!!!

During 9/11 my mom got stranded in Chicago and while waiting for a plane, she got to know a really nice guy who had a horribly upset stomach in the line for planes.

His name-Kyle Chandler. He's such a nice guy, down to earth and one of the few people on the planet where "being a star" hasn't gotten to him.

He's also still a southern gent.

I LOVE Friday Night Lights and can't wait to see it again this fall!! My only disappointment is that it did not get nominated for an Emmy for best drama.

Kyle Chandler is one of the good ones-they're working actors-not celebrities. They enjoy their craft, they enjoy the fact the people like what they do. I've met a few nice actors in and around NYC and there is a HUGE difference between actors and celebrities.

Oh, man you lucky duck!! I luuuuuvvvv Kyle Chandler! After I saw him playing Buddy Jackson in Pure Country, I hated him so much! Don't you be messin' with my man George Strait! LOL! But I got over it. I loved him on Early Edition and even in that show he did w/ Joan Cusack (even though they had no chemistry, it was a funny show!).

I do love FNL! I just wish they didn't have all the drinking and sex in it. If that's how high school kids really act nowadays, well .... I won't even get into that. Don't want to spoil the thread!

The depiction of a small town in Texas that FNL portrays is amazingly accurate. Not all kids are involved in "drinking & s*x" but (of course) some do. But other things that are accurate:

- The football team/game is very important to small towns.
- The pressure the coach has on him.
- The churchgoing (both those who lead a christian life & those who are hypocrites.
- The sleazy car dealership owner.
- The intermingling of blacks/whites/hispanics for school/sports & then retreating back to their neighborhoods.
- The father of the injured quarterback who is a small business owner having to call folks who have "credit" with him because of his kid's hospital bills & ultimately suing because he has no choice.

It's an amazing show about small town life in America.....wonderfully acted (except for the bimbo cheerleader) with great scenes, great music, & the occasional football action.

I watched the first episode of Friday Night Lights, don't really know why, and I was hooked. And I don't even like football! I think Kyle is sooooo handsome and fantasize that I'm Mrs. Coach! You are so lucky!

I am so jealous! I love Kyle Chandler....remember when he was in the show Homefront or something like that? Anyway, glad you had a wonderful experience meeting him. Sounds like he's a really nice guy.

Oh we will have to start a FNL thread when it comes back on...I just love that show!!! My DD and I love to watch it together which is nice to have that time together to look forward to. I happen to love coach but also just love Tim Riggins (flaws and all)

That is so exciting!! I've been of fan of KC's since Homefront. He sounds like such a nice guy. I love FNL and can't wait for the new season!!! Thanks for sharing your pics!!
