I know Gideon is from Pinnochio, but can someone refresh my memory how he fits into the story? We got a picture with him and his autograph, but I really had to ask the CM who he was.

Isn't he the guy who leaves the Bibles in the hotel rooms? :confused3

Gideon is very mischievous; did he pull any pranks on you?

We saw Gideon and Foulfellow together at MK last time. They are the cat and fox who tempt Pinnochio down the wrong path.

I've always marvelled at the characters you see. Obscure characters from a movie that came out over 50 years ago are easy to spot, yet there are so many Disney animated classics they don't get any representation ( Rescuers, Pete's Dragon, Oliver and Co. , Aristocats, etc.) You can see lots of characters from Robin Hood and even Song of the South despite the fact that Americans can't buy or rent the movie.

actualy there is a Dodger but he is never used. and Eliot was a float in the Main street electrical parade.

Gideon the Cat is an crafty cat who was Foulfellow the Fox's sidekick. Foulfellow usaually adresses him by the nickname "kitty" in the film. He doesn't speak, save for one military hiccup (which was heard three times in the film).

Here's a bit of trivia about Gideon and a VERY famous rabbit!

Mel Blanc was hired to perform the voice of Gideon the Cat, in Walt Disney's Pinocchio (1940 film). However, it was eventually decided for Gideon to be mute (just like Dopey the Dwarf, whose whimsical, Harpo Marx-style persona made him one of Snow White's most comic and popular characters) and all of Blanc's recorded dialogue in this film had been deleted, save for one military hiccup, which was heard three times in the film.
