We made it, we are at the fort!!!

I am tired, I posted this in the other thread, so I will paste it here and come back and update you guys later.

We are here, got here at about 11, the site wasn't ready, at about 12 they said go ahead from my friend, he went back and there was someone on it. My site which hadn't been released by mousekeeping was empty. So he came out to the lot and sat with us. At about 1 we called again and they gave us 2 different sites about 10 spaces apart . I told them I am hadicapped, and would like to be near a cs, we are as far away from a cs as is physically possible at this place. We are in site 1815 which is on the inside clear at the back next to the canal. OH well did I mention we are here!! We set up everything, and put out all the decorations. Then we went looping in the cart, and down to t e to get a mug.

We are going to dhs tomorrow, so I am gonna go to beddy bye. I will be around the camper all day wed, wife willing. So I will update everyone then.

I'm glad you arrived okay! Site 1815 is a very pretty site, but about as far as you can get from the comfort station and the bus stop. Are they that crowded that they couldn't accomodate you? Any site on the 1600 loop would have been a better choice - close to two c.s. & the bus stop.

In the meantime ---- enjoy yourself!! You're at FtW!!

Then, drag out that blanket for the fire to stay warm tomorrow and Thursday as it's about to get darn right cold for Florida. That cold front just came through here a couple of hours ago. The storms at the leading edge were moving at 60mph. It sure did get cold here in a hurry and is supposed to be in the 20s tomorrow night. I can certainly see how this one will make it all the way down to central Fla.

I was testing at a power plant in Jacksonville today. We're on the grid down here. I knew that big wire I unplugged probably wasn't a good idea Just kidding. I have some friends who were testing at the Riviera Plant in WPB. I gotta find out why this happened. Disney has their own power plant behind MK. Last I heard they have 4 gas turbines. It surprises me they were down too.

Hi everyone. We just got back from DHS. It didn't start raining until about 6. We never did loose power. My cousin called to tell us hers was out, and that there were tornado watches. But we did everything we wanted except fantasmic . We payed $75 to eat at hollywood and vine, to do the dine and dash, but it got rained out (we won't eat there again) We did everything except TT & RRC. We had a little one with us, and dw and I aren't big thrill ride fans.

Park attendance wasn't that bad, little more than we are used to in the fall, but we didn't wait for anything!!

I broke down and got an ecv, OMG why didn't I do that before????? I feel amazing, I am not punching my legs in pain, and almost in tears!!!! I was worried that people would look at me like I was just lazy and fat LOL. But it was fine. But I have to say, when I walk, I am 6'8" and people get out of my way, and I can see over everyone. In the ecv, people just walk right in front of you, and you know those dumb thing don't have brakes!!

We got soaked leaving, and the gc ride from the outpost to the site was a might chilly. We aren't complaining about the site, we have a cart, so I can just ride it to CS.

We are sitting here listening to it rain and drink hot chocolate.


Even a wet rainy cold day at the fort is still fun. And I talked to home and they are expecting more snow!!

You're report reminded me of a trip dd and I took last June. We went to MGM for EMH and it started to rain. Nothing was open hardly to eat and all the table services were jammed full. We were parked not too far from the gate and decided to walk to the truck. It was coming down so hard our feet were under water. This was the sidewalk next to the lake where the buses come in. By the time we got in the truck we were more than soaked.

We've been to Hollywood & Vine as well. The food was good but not worth the price. I'd rather save that price meal for Chef Mickey's or another resort restaurant.
