We have done POFQ, We loved AKL, we tried Pop at the request of DD. And it was great. We would stay here again! We were in 5131, the 60s building, ground level looking at the lake. We were a walkway from the pool, behind the jungle book guys.

It was quiet, short walk past the pool or the Pop jets. The rooms are not large but if we werent in the pool or the park we were sleeping so it didnt matter. We could hear the bathroom flush next door if we were in our bathroom but that was our only oddity.

Housekeeping was great, we had a towel animal in our window when we arrived and we left it there for the next people.

The only ugly thing was trying to leave and get luggage from bell services. LEAVE YOURSELF LOTS OF TIME TO GET IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!! The line is long, they are over worked. The people were demanding luggage for thier ME bus but didnt give themselves time to get back from the parks to get their luggage. It took us 30min to get is but we gave ourselves an hour. The line was long and people werent very nice to the staff trying to get it all done ASAP.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay at Pop. We'll are leaving in 2 days for Pop(1st time). Are there any tips or bits of info you care to share about Pop?? We are so excited :goodvibes

The bus lines are long but we never waited more than 15min, even if it were for a 2nd bus. So dont let them freak you out.
A bus arrived at 7:45am for the MK which was awesome for our 8:15 CRT ressie, I wasnt sure if I would need to take a cab or not!
Have a fun trip & walk onto the bridge to see the turtles for a morning change of pace before you head out to a park.

Glad you enjoyed Pop! It's my favorite of the resorts I have been to. I am thinking about trying POFQ next spring. How do you compare the two? (Plusses and minuses) TIA :)

I also enjoyed Pop Century on my June trip. It is a nice hotel at a very nice price. Very clean, lots of fun, and the grounds are well-designed. The funny song-titles on the 8-track tapes near the 70's buildings are quite a hoot.

The only negative for the Pop is that, as will all Disney value resorts, the rooms are a little small and there is no fridge in the room. But if that's doesn't bother you, you'll like the hotel. I've stayed at many WDW hotels, and I enjoyed my stay at Pop Century.

We enjoyed Pop too. We're planning for next August and another stay at Pop!! If you're an early riser, the walk along the lake in the early morning is lovely. You'll see the large and (in my opinion) ugly turtles by the bridge hanging around in what looks like sunken Christmas trees!!! People were tossing breads in the water to feed them as well as the fish. Later in the evening when the sun's down, eating pizza by the hippy dippy pool was fun. After these past two weeks which culminated in a very sad and needless funeral, I am soooooo looking forward to making concrete plans for next year.

We had shorter bus lines at POFQ, it is used by the cruise for the land/sea. So we felt on any given day there were less people in line for the bus. But in the am you share a bus with POR, so it is 3 more stops there until you hit the parks. But often at night they had seperate bus lines running. (So small negative.)
A small plus is having the Ts Boatwrights at POR, we walked a short walk there and had a TS one night. A nice alternative to the food court. The food court at POFQ had less choices and is smaller than POP. But it also isnt as busy as Pops, same amount of cashiers, less people at checkout.

A plus is 2 sinks with a curtian to pull and change behind. At pop you only had the bathroom to use, that was new to us and a bit of a pain. If Dh or I were in the shower we used to pull the curtian for the other to change behind in the am. Since DD is getting older it is an addition I would love to see at Pop. :cloud9:

A small thing is a slide in the pool and hot tubs at POFQ, and the boat to DTD. And the carriage rides down the paved streets. We loved the theming at POFQ but really for the $$$$$ I would stay at POP again. For us over 8 days the $200+ for the little we were in the room we would go with pop. It was fun, had the pop jets and a great pool. Our room was in such a quiet area it was really nice.
