Well I made an ADR for Ohanas about 5-6 months ago and almost canceled it a few times due to such poor reviews. I am glad I didn't. We ate there on this last Saturday night, had an ADR for 7:45PM. We heard as we checked in that stand by wait was about 2 hours so not a restaurant you do not want to have a reservation for.

They gave us the pager and we waited I think maybe 5-10 minutes for our table. Our table was AMAZING. Front and center view of Cinderella's Castle right at the windows. We had a view of a support beam too, but overall the view could not be beat. We were also a few tables away from the fire pit and right in the middle of the festivities so to speak (limbo, hula etc)

We were not rushed in the the slightest and from the point we arrived to when we received the check was about an hour or so. As everyone says you have to come hungry because the food comes out quickly (maybe thats why everyone thinks they are being rushed?) The sauces for the wontons were kind of unusual, the potatoes lived up to their reputation, and I personally liked the peel and eat shrimp, I was the only one eating them though as I was the only one in our group who likes shrimp.

We were given plenty of time to eat all of the starters and go for seconds before the meat started coming out, it was steak, pork, chicken, sausage and turkey. The turkey was by far the best! Steak wasn't to bad either. No one seemed to like the sausage.

The only thing we weren't crazy about was dessert, none of us care to much for bananas, I heard they used to have a pineapple dessert, I wish you could have a choice.

Right before dessert the water pageant came by, and we could see about half of that (volcano was in the way!) and right as we were finishing up, wishes started, they piped the music in, and that was very cool getting such a great view. We have been pretty lucky in that department as about two years ago we got the same amazing view of Wishes from California Grill.

Anyway, we will definitely be returning, and even though we found the price fairly steep ($26 is high for a midwesterner!) You get everything you pay for, it's a great value!

Glad to hear you enjoyed 'Ohana! It's one of our favorite restaurants. While the price is a bit high, last August we took my Uncle, cousin and Aunt from a small Florida town and they LOVED it despite the price. The view while Wishes is going on is even more magical when you're seated right next to the windows.

We love it so much that our whole clan (about 12) are having dinner there Christmas Day!

and our family really enjoyed it!! My parents loved the food. The only thing that I didn't care for was the sausage (dry). The wontons and sauces were excellent. The veggies were good, steak and turkey were tender and moist. The dessert was wonderful. The kids enjoyed the kid activities. We were celebrating my hubby's birthday and Cousin Brandon brought out two cupcakes with candles and we sung happy birthday. My son loved the cheeseburger so much that the chef came out so he could tell him how much he enjoyed his cooking. We were thrilled that he took the time to come out to speak to a child about a hamburger :lmao:

I'd give O'hana's an A. We sat near the window and had a pretty view.

We thought it was yummy too.

Maybe you are right about the food being brought out quickly. Maybe that IS why we felt rushed.

I thought that bread pudding was really good! I wish we would have been where we could see the castle. I forgot to even ask. We also couldn't see the kids doing the races. I kept hearing voices but couldn't figure out where they were until I walked around the whole restaurant later to glance at Wishes through the windows. We will definitely eat there again.

I felt a little rushed the first time I went but after the appetizers and sides came out everything slowed down. Now that I know what to expect, it doesn't bother me anymore and I never feel rushed there. In fact, our server last time told us to just hang out and wait for Wishes to start. BTW, the sausage is my least fav item they have. The pork, turkey and steak are mouthwatering and that peanut sauce is addictive but the salad is the best part. I usually eat two plates of just that it's so good.
