We loved HH

HHI was great! My husband and I went a couple of weeks ago and had a terrific time. We booked a studio and received a room in the main lodge. The room was bigger than other studios we were used to which was a nice surprise. We will definitely return.
Also, my parents just came back from a week long trip to HH and received a free upgrade from a studio to a 2 bedroom! They also received room service every day for free which was a nice surprise. I never thought they gave free upgrades to DVC members or even free room service. My parents are new to DVC, so I'm glad they received a little extra magic. To anyone who is interested in HH, I highly recommend it. It is a nice change from the fast paced atmosphere of WDW. Also, thanks to everyone who answered my questions regarding HH a while back.

Glad you had a great trip to HH. The HH studios are the largest of all DVC resorts (455 sq. ft.) and off-season member upgrades are not unusual - especially for studios. During the off-season the resort can more easily rent studios for cash reservations when 2BRs go empty, so they are great about upgrading members to the larger asccommodations. There are only 21 studios and 21 1BRs at the resort and 76 dedicated 2BRs.

The free housekeeping is a wonderful additional perk too!

We, too, like Hilton Head island really well. We're going back the end of March - can't wait. So glad your family had a great trip.

We stayed in a Disney Grand Villa at Hilton Head a couple of years ago - talk about spoiling me (now I want to stay in one every time I go back).
