We returned Sunday from a weeks stay at the Beach Club Resort. Absolutely wonderful!!

The staff was very helpful and polite. We stayed in one room with a daybed (Me DH and 3 DD's-16, 14 11). The beds/pillows/bedding was all very plush and comfortable! The double sinks outside the bathroom worked well with the girls needing space to get ready (girls;)). We requested a full balcony and received that with a courtyard view. The pools/hot tubs were awesome!! I knew it would be close to Epcot, but it was really close (5-10 minute walk). The boat service to HS was nice and relaxing. The busses never had a very long wait to MK, AK or Downtown Dis.

We ate at ESPN Club on the Boardwalk (again, very close and easy to walk to) twice. The food was great and prices fair. We also ate at Beaches and Cream - very good (very small though - I imagine it has long waits during busy season). We had breakfast at Cape May Cafe with the characters - it was wonderful! We did not have a Disney Dining plan, we paid out of pocket.

Let me know if you have any questions.

thanks for the review. we are planning on heading to WDW next Dec/Jan. I am really torn between Beach Club and WL. Thought about a split stay but not sure I want to deal with repacking all of us.

Thanks for posting your review. We are staying at Beach Club in June and just stayed at Yacht Club in December. We loved it there as well, but figured we try Beach this time. Glad you loved it.

Hi poohmom! We leave in a few days for our first time at BC. Did you make your requests ahead of time? We booked a standard view room, so I'm not sure if that comes with a balcony or not. I'd like to request a daybed, but was hoping I could do that when we check in. Any tips? Thanks so much! Rebecca

For piglet - we have stayed at WL 4 years in a row and LOVED it! We just decided to try BC for a change this year. I think either one would be great.

Thanks for the review. We're planning to stay there in June. Did you use the Beach Club Market often? Was it adequate? Do they sell tee shirts, etc at Beach club like they do at the other resorts? So far as not using the dining
plan, how do feel that worked out money-wise? TIA

Thanks for the great review! YC & BC are favorites of ours, especially because of their location and the fun swimming pool!:goodvibes Glad you had a great time there!

So glad you had a great time!

BC/YC are our favorite resorts! I can't wait until we're back there in July. Two glorious weeks of SAB. We'll be at BC in July and YC in October. I can't post a date in my signature because we're doing another surprise trips for the kids. DH is going to run the new 1/2 marathon October 1 and we get to do MNSSHP! YC is a "official race resort" so that's why we'll be there instead of BC.

We all just love being able to walk over to EPCOT for dinner. IMHO BC/YC can't be beat!

Glad you loved the Beach Club as much as we do! Awesome resort and we found everything to be equally as wonderful. Only thing I would tweek would be some additional breakfast options at the Marketplace.

Thanks for the great review! We are staying at The Beach Club for the first time in Aug! :goodvibes
I also wanted to know, how was the counter service options there?

We have stayed at Beach Club Vilals twice. I'd say the Market is a decent little shop. They do have t-shirts and other merchandise like other resorts.

I can't say anything about the dining plan since we have never used it but some people love it especially if you plan on doing sit down meals. My fmaily mostly does counter service.

Beach Club is in an excellant location and you can hop over to the Boardwalk for dining options as well. I especially like the bakery. Yum!

I'm sure all of you who are planning your trip will not be dissapointed with this resort but it may ruin you for other resorts lol

Hi again! Our only request on the reservation was "full balcony." We did also call a few days ahead because I had two reservations - a one night room only and a seven day package. I wanted to ask that we not have to move after the first night room only reservation, and I asked again then to have a full balcony. We had standard view booked. Since we had five people in the room, the daybed was necessary so I didn't request it.

The Marketplace had clam chowder soup, a few pre-made sandwiches, pastries, yougurt parfaits. We only ate the breakfast items here a few times. We ordered from gardengrocer.com (breakfast stuff, OJ, water, soda, choc milk). They did have boxes of doughnuts for $2.99 that were good. They had small grocery items available, as well as typical gift shop stuff (tshirts, pins, jewelery, mugs, hats, etc).

We wanted to purchase the counter service dining plan, but didn't because we knew BC didn't offer much for that. The counter service by the pool (Hurricane Hannahs) stopped serving at 6pm and the Marketplace is the only other option. I haven't added it all up, but I think we did fine paying out of pocket.

I am so glad that you liked your stay at BC. We stayed there for the first time in December and are planning on going back there in May of 2011. We were talking to friends of ours about it and how awesome SAB is. Since they want to take their kids to Disney then, they also want us to come with them and stay at BC....they are very excited about it too, and so are we :cool1:

For our stay we wanted a full balcony, be close to IG, and have a view of the lake (had a waterview room). Well I think we got the best room in all of BC (at least we thought it was) because we did get our full balcony, we were the last wing of BC which meant that we were a little less than a 5 minute walk to IG, AND we had a view of both Crescent Lake AND the quiet pool (got to look out and see Boardwalk) it was awesome and gorgeous :goodvibes This was the first time that we stayed at any of the Epcot resorts, and after staying there, I don't think I want to go anywhere else (unless we are going to a mod which then will be POFQ :))

Glad you enjoyed your trip. We are going to the BC for the 1st time in october and I am really looking forward to it.

We are also a family of 5, did you find the room was big enough or was it a bit of a squeeze? We have also requested a full balcony so hopefully we will get it as that will give us more space

Thanks for the review. We were there on our last trip and it quickly became my favorite resort. I can't wait to back again someday.

On my trip in December we ate at Cape May twice and I absolutely fell in love w/ just the look of the Beach Club!! I dubbed it my dream resort! :cloud9: When we started talks about going this year we kept throwing the Beach Club in the mix but just couldn't afford it. :wizard: Then we got the 40% off code!!!! Beach Club here we come!!!

We were worried that 5 of us in one room would be a problem, but it wasn't. We had plenty of room, as long as we stayed organized each day and put things away. They have queen beds too, which was great!

Hi Poohmom! Glad you had a good time at BC! We will be there soon. -just wondering if there were disposable foam cups/lids in the room for your use? We plan on getting sodas and water and are coffee drinkers, and just want to know if we'll be able to take sith us out of the room Thanks!!!:yay:

There were not foam or plastic cups/lids in the rooms. That and napkins were something we wished we would have brought with us. We arrived very late from the airport, and the front desk gave us numbers for off-site pizza delivery. The pizza delivery person brought us paper plates, but no napkins.

On a side note, I wish I would have brought my blow dryer. The one in the room didn't work very well.

Have a great trip!!!!!!!
