We love rack rate! Aug 1-17 More NEW pics 9/1!

Obviously I continue to be baffled by resizing pics on Photobucket.
Actually, I do think I have it figured out now. I just have to remember HOW to resize them when I upload them so I don't have to resize each one individually. Apparently the ones that I loaded in really big are going to stay really big. :headache:

I usually edit each picture seperatly, I did not realize you could resize them all at once. I use the drop down box and change the size to website, can't remember what size that is now.

Sorry to go off topic, but Beth are you still joining all of us at Cape May?

I'm really, really sorry, but I don't think that is going to happen. I know that dd will overreact again, and it won't be a fun time for any of us. :sad2:

Elin - Yes, the menu is the same as AllEars. The copyright on it is 11/07, so I couldn't say for sure if those items are all still available if you call down to order them. Seems like they would update it more often!

Thanks so much, Elizabeth!!! I owe you... something. ;)

Your pictures are wonderful. Who took the safari ones? :rolleyes1

I have been reading your report and had to come out of lurkdom to say how much I enjoy hearing about your trip & that your photos from the safari are AMAZING!! :)

Those pictures have made me want to stay concierge in order to do the safari!!

Our pictures we take on the safari in the park look like cra$ compared to your DH's. Please give him my compliments.

Thanks for the live report and pictures. You look great and the animal pictures are wonderful!

There is this TINY little "options" thing that you can click and it will upload them in another size. We'll see if I can remember how to do it witht he next batch!

Those are gorgeous!!!

Thanks, Beth!

Well, I am leaving the ADR the way it is so if you change your mind you can let me know! :)

We went to the concierge lounge at 6:45 AM to check in for the Sunrise Safari. From there we went downstairs and got on a bus to AK. We boarded a safari vehicle and started out about 8 AM. Our guide answered all of our questions and we had plenty of time to get photos of each animal. It really was a great experience!!

It was already after 9 AM when we got to the restaurant for breakfast. The food was good, nothing THAT incredible, but still a nice meal. We didn't make it out into the park until about 10 AM.

We got FPs for Everest (return 1 PM) and headed to Dinosaur. The wait was longer than we wanted to deal with (20 minutes, I think), and Primeval Whirl was 30 minutes. OK, so we went to get a locker for the excess cameras, then we saw Festival of the Lion King. DS doesn't like that show because he has never been chosen to participate. He did tolerate it pretty well today, though.

We ended up doing Primeval Whirl in the stand-by line. The foam padding on that ride REEKS. I hope they replace it next month when it goes for refurb. Anyway, that was fun.

We rode Everest and DS & DH rode Dinosaur. By then it was brutally hot and we were cranky so we left for a break.

We got to the bus stop 2:22 PM, waited 12 minutes but it felt MUCH longer.

After our break we went up to the concierge lounge so DH could have a beer (he hardly ever drinks beer, so he thought it sounded like a nice treat). He had a Miller Light, I had a glass of wine, DS had an Uncrustable and some milk.

Back to the bus stop at 5:30 PM, waited 17 minutes for a bus. By then it was getting VERY cloudy and breezy. We got to AK and it started to rain. It did that because I took the ponchos out of the backpack. A family that was leaving gave us their dream Fast Passes (VERY thoughtful!) so we decided to duck into Tough to be a Bug.

After that we headed to Everest. We got to the area near Yak & Yeti and it started to POUR! That lasted 10 minutes or so. We took cover in the DVC kiosk so we weren't too drenched.

We managed to ride Everest without getting rained on, then we went to dinner.

Yak & Yeti was very good. The park closed at 8 PM, so we went to the bus stop at 8:25 PM and waited 5 minutes for a bus back to AKL.

I went to the front desk to see about the balance on our room. I put a gift card down as a credit, so all of our charges were supposed to be deducting from that money. Surprise! They charged the Sunrise Safari to my Visa after I specifically told them NOT to do that. :headache: They did fix it (I hope) so I think we're all squared away now.

Tomorrow is early entry at MGM. We have late check out (1 PM) so we'll come back and move to Saratoga Springs around lunch time.

Another great update & the pictures from dinner look delicious!

Elizabeth,

Thank you so much for taking us along on your trip. Your photos are amazing!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3:

I'm sorry you didn't get your diver, but otherwise, seems all our hopes have come true!! :yay: :yay:

You room looks amazing. I could taste the food off the screen. Enjoy!!!!!

And you and the family look great!!  :cloud9:

Thanks, Elin, Stephanie & Janet!

We are having a good time so far. And I put the ponchos back in my backpack.;)

Janet, if I miss you later on I hope you and the boys have a safe trip!! We can't wait to meet you! :goodvibes

We leave tomorrow, so I will be seeing you soon :yay:

YAY! I made it over to your TR! So far it's been amazing! You had our dinner at CA Grill! Your son is a much more adventurous eater than my dd, she would have never had the fish at CR. The safari pics were terrific, probably the best I've seen! Props to your dh, plus the light was fabulous! I can't remember if you are spending the rest of your trip at SSR or you are going back to AK in the villas...
I'm so glad your mom is doing well, I know that is contributing to your good time! Yes, keep those ponchos packed, it may not rain again!
