We love Donald Duck, oh yes we do! - Link to the PTR - COMPLETE

Brook, this is another great update! You really have a fantastic husband! That Latte sounds like it just hit the spot on that moment. :drinking1 (just imagine the dark liquid being coffee...)

I love the picture where Henry looks really alert to what interesting things are happening on that street! And the playground pictures are lovely, too. I guess by the end of this trip report your son will have quite a fan club, he really is very cute! I am now really nervous about what was wrong with him, I hope we will find out at some point and I hope it is not that he is lactose intolerant!

It sounds like you all really enjoyed spending time there together without rushing anywhere and making anyone unhappy. I sometimes get the feeling that many people around me at WDW are more miserable than enjoying their time there, just because they pack too much into their days.

That latte did hit the spot - it was such a treat!! After a few years of marriage Joe is really starting to learn what makes me tick - coffee is one of 'em! ;)

Henry being sick was really rough - it was baffling. BUT, he does get better, so no worries!!

I know what you mean about how people are miserable at WDW. There is just SO much to do and people try to pack it all in and get stressed when plans don't work that way. It's the beauty and curse of WDW I think. It's great because no matter how many times you go back, something is always new, but it's a curse because you want to do it all NOW! Or at least I do!

Hi Brook!
Great updates!!!! What a great DH for getting you that cup of joe!! yum! EE sounds so scarey, never done that before, but hope to in the future and I'm with you with Dinosaur, it's scarey!! Even if you've done it before!!! Too funny that you could move the pack n play without waking Henry, such a great parent feat!!! LOL!!Looking forward to more....

EE is INTENSE. I've been on a lot of roller coasters, even Kingda Ka at 6 Flags in NJ (just do a Google search on that roller coaster...holy cow - NEVER AGAIN!). Usually a coaster has to be fast and go upside down for me to really like it, EE does go fairly fast, but no loops - but the way it's designed really gets me everytime I ride it! It's just an excellent ride!! I actually think it's more intense than RnRC, even though RnRC is in the dark and has a loop.

Dinosaur is an amazing ride too! This past ride the big dino at the very end above the ride vechicle TOTALLY freaked me out! I missed him last time I rode, so I wasn't expecting it at all. And of course, both rides I've done on Dinosaur I've been in that same seat, front row on the big dino side! Figures, eh?

Joe and I high fived and did a little silent boogie when we got Henry into the living room without him waking, or even moving. It was a great moment!

Another huge LOST fan here. I'm loving season 5 and although here in the UK it isn't shown until Sunday night I 'acquire' it overnight on Wednesday to watch when I get home from work on a Thursday.

Oh man, I wouldn't be able to wait until Sunday either - no way! We have church on Wednesdays, so we have been watching it on Thursdays online (abc.com). I hate even waiting that extra day!

Great update - your parade pictures are really good! Henry looked like he was enjoying himself at the parade and the Boneyard. Very cool to ride EE in the dark! Sounds like a great night at AK, and how nice to have your own kitchen and lots of space to settle in. It just stinks that Henry was still throwing up. Nothing like a little vomit to put a damper on a vacation! We've had a couple of camping trips now with sick kids - it's bad enough in your own house, but being away and having to truck your only 2 sheets to the laundramat is no fun!

Oh - kudos to your husband for the hot coffee! What a guy!

Henry did enjoy the parade, and the Boneyard was a blast! He climbed all over everything and ran around laughing and pointing, screaming in delight. It was so fun to watch him play!

It was a very nice night at AK, I think we got more done in the few hours we were there than we did from the entire day back in November! :rotfl2:

I cannot imagine CAMPING with sick kids. Ugh! We were also thankful Henry wasn't sick to the point where we couldn't do anything. He was always eager to go. Though, even just staying in the villa for a few days wouldn't have been so bad!

Too funny! I loved this past update, the parade looks so exotic and colorful! We've yet to see it and I don't think we'll be seeing it any time soon so thanks for sharing all the pics. Henry's little hat is too cute! So sorry he still wasn't feeling well... did you ever find out what was wrong?

That parade really is neat! Lots of colors and sounds - I enjoyed it! I love the chin strap on Henry's hat - he is starting to learn to rip it off and then take off the hat, so this will probalby be the last winter with a chin strap hat. :guilty:

We never did really find out what was wrong with Henry - which still baffles me. But, more on that in a future update!

Another great update. We didn't get to see Nemo in August, just could never time it right! It is one the list for this year.

Nemo was really impressive! It was fun (aside from Henry being scared) to be right up front and really see the actor's expressions. But, from a further back seat you can see everything and take it all in. Lots of great music - it's a beautiful show!

I'm soooo excited that you like EE at night too!! I was scared that I had overblown it's awesomeness

Love the update, as always... and I thoought your nite pics at AK were VERY nice

Paula

Oh no, you did not overblow it's awesomeness!!!!!!! It was AMAZING!!!!!! Joe loved it too! It's a totally different ride versus the day too!

Thank you for the comment on the pictures! We tried to take so many, but only those handful really came out halfway decent. It's neat there at night, if I have time on a future trip, it would be cool to bring the tripod and just do photography there during PM EMH.

Great updates!

I was thinking about the woman letting her kid stand in your stroller as I was reading about your AK parade experience. What is with your parade mojo??? :confused3

H looks SO adorable at the boneyard playground.

:rotfl2: depths of your sickness in restroom photos I think it only REALLY becomes a sickness when you're taking photos inside the restroom.

Coming back to your cozy villa, a frozen pizza and your favorite tv show sounds so perfect! Did you say what grocery delivery service you used? You'd do it again?

My parade mojo BITES! :rotfl:

I can proudly say I have NO pictures of the inside of bathrooms! :rotfl2: Though, I do recall thinking how nice the tilework was inside of one at AK...

I don't recall if I said what grocery service we used, it was WeGoShop.com. They will shop at any store you want and get whatever you want. I let them shop wherever, it ended up being at Publix. It was a GREAT service. The woman who runs the business in Orlando, Marge, is fantastic. I had sumbitted my list and had a few questions, so we went back and forth over email a couple times - she was quick and complete with her answers. Then, I realized I had forgotten a couple things a few days before our trip - no problem, I just emailed her and they were added to the list. It really was a great experience! We used GardenGrocer.com in November, the choices were more limited there, but the service for that was great too. We will use the grocery delivery service again in December, and go with WeGoShop.com again because we can get anything - even store brand/generics to save a buck!

Ummm well according to C I have a sickness...because yes I found an incredible light fixture in a bathroom and yes I took it...Oh I'm a nut yes I am LOL

Oh another wonderful wonderful update!! I loved reading about your evening at AK and I'm so jealous I want to ride EE at night! I'm thinking Paula is going to have to go with me so we can experience it together LOL!! LOVE IT!!

I love the idea of being able to make a pizza and just enjoy your favorite tv show at Disney that is so cool!!

Can't wait to hear more!

That is SO funny about the bathroom pic! Was it at Disney????

We all have a sickness though, so it's okay. ;)

EE at night is so cool! You gotta try it!! It's scary, but awesome!

It was Joe's idea to have a night-in and make pizza. It was the perfect ending to the day!!

Another wonderful update. You are so descriptive add that with all your wonderful pictures and I feel like I was right there with you. I know I have said it before but Henry is just precious. His facial expressions just crack me right up.

I really want to ride EE but I am scared. I think I might have to try and be brave and try it at least once.

Thank you!! I try not to be too wordy so my updates aren't crazy long, but sometimes I just can't seem to cut them shorter! Besides, because I take pictures of things like restroom signs, it makes me updates come in several parts already.

And thank you on the comment about Henry. :goodvibes Joe and I are always laughing at what he does and "says". I think I have a picture from later in the week of a certain look - it was new that week and he still does it, it's so freakin' cute and funny!

YES! You gotta try EE! It's such a creative ride! Try it during the day first though. :lmao:

Another great installment. That parade looks like alot of fun we will have to check out that and EE at night next trip. I hope Henry is OK. The night at the villa sounded like a wonderful time just relaxing in Disney.

The parade is a neat one, lots of music and colors, very high energy! (like most Disney parades....) EE at night is just intense, I hope you like it!

What a great afternoon at Animal Kingdom, although it was cold! Where did Joe find the coffee? Just curious -- I love coffee! Your parade photos are great, but I love the pictures of Henry watching the parade. You cracked me up with your bathroom photo! I especially died laughing about making it back to the room to watch the premiere of Lost -- right there with you -- I love, love, love that show -- although this season is killing me so far! Too cool about seeing Ben outside your friend's show!

I cannot find the reciept for that coffee - I thought I had 'em all, but I guess not! I *think* it was Kusafiri Coffee and Shop & Bakery. It was RIGHT on the corner of the parade route though by Flights of Wonder.

This season is NUTS! During that 1 hour special before the premier the directors said this season would answer more questions than it asked for a change. WHATEVER! Gah! I'm more confused now than I was before I think!

Oh my! I have to do EE at night next trip! Sounds awesome!!

Poor Henry. One of the hardest things about being a parent, imho, is when a child is sick and you just don't know why! It's really hard.
I hope he gets better soon and that you figure out what was causing it!

I'm so jealous of y'all getting to stay at SSR!! ( in a good way, not a creepy way) I'd love to be that close to DTD. I could go there every night after park close! I'm glad you liked Earl. He's a cousin of mine.

Ok seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed your sandwich. There is actually an EoS in San Antonio which is where my BFF and brother live (separately) so I get to go a little more often than when we're in DTD. Hence our two trips to WPE this last trip. Uh oh, I just spoiled my own TR!!! Shhhhhhhhhhhh.

Can't wait for more, more, more I want moreeeeeeeeeee!!!

Disney wishes!

Ya! You gotta try EE at night! It's just nutty!

I hate it when Henry is sick, even just a little cold. :guilty: Overall, he's a very healthy kid, he's never even had an ear infection or anything. So, this throwing up (both on the last trip AND this one) was really awful. He DOES get better - but more on that later...!

Being so close to DTD was really great, the hub of buses was handy too. That is AWESOME about EoS being in San Antonio! I read on wikipedia.com they were branching out into other locations aside from Disney, but I didn't realize it already happened. Ooooh, I hope their next stop is Minneapolis! :rotfl:

I am really enjoying your trip report!!! Can't wait for more!!!

Thank you!! I hope to get more up today, but most likely it won't happen until tomorrow - gotta clean the house today. :sad2:

Really enjoying your report! Glad I found this one before it was 50 pages long.

I am glad you made it to your tea and that you did not have to tour all the bathrooms at AK again.

Our youngest will be a little older then Henry when we travel. I cannot wait to see her reactions. On our first trip she was younger and slept a lot. I have a feeling she will be more animated on our upcoming trip.

Thank you for reading! I was SO glad to be at AK and feeling healthy and good! I am sure there was a bathroom break at some point for Joe and I, but it wasn't memorable, and that is a GOOD thing! ::yes::

It was beautiful to watch Henry's reactions to things. The water features were one of his favorites from both November and this trip. And seeing the characters - that was always a treat! I bet your DD will LOVE it all!

Another great installment! Your too funny about the coffee! I found a couple kiosks that had good lattes on on the parks. It made me ohhh so happy!! I will, of course, be on the look out for more in the future! It sounds like you had a great time on EE! One day I have to try it! I hope Henry is ok!

There are a few places you can get decent coffee at WDW, none of that horrid Nescafe. Allears.net actually has a page devoted to good coffee and where you can find it! As you will learn in my next update, the Poly has "shut up" good coffee.

Great updates! I love that you guys are just rolling with flow and soaking it all in! I'm hoping to do that on our next trip, when we are going I'm going to have to have that mindset because it's going to be so busy that if I try to stick to a plan I think I'll drive myself insane!

I now have to ride EE at night! I love that ride anyway, and it sounds like it would be even better at night. :thumbsup2

I'm so sorry that Henry keeps getting sick :sad2: It's just so strange that he seems fine except that he keeps vomiting. I sure hope it doesn't continue, poor guy!

It was very enjoyable to just go with the flow and not stressing about ADRs or time. We did what we got to. There is a particular day though that I was disappointed about - but more on that later! :goodvibes I don't think I'm going to make solid plans for everyday ever again though. And very few ADRs. I LOVE the food, but it's more enjoyable not to be tied to that ADR. Though, in the season(s) that we have gone in, the parks haven't been as busy, so many times we could get something same day/walk up if we wanted to.

EE is a whole different ride at night! You gotta try it!

It was VERY strange about him being totally fine, no temp or anything, but the throwing up. He was running around during the day, active and happy as can be! I was thankful for that, but it just made me all the more confused!

WOW, I don't read for a few days and have like 5 pages to catch up on!!

SSR looks so relaxing, I would love to stay there someday so I too can walk over to EOS and have lunch.

EE at night sounds like so much fun!!!

I sure hope Henry gets to feeling better :guilty:

SSR really is relaxing, it's quiet and peaceful. It was nice to be able to walk so quickly to DTD!

EE was excellent!! So intense!

Everyone is so sweet, being concerned about my little man. He does start to feel better - but more on that coming up in the future...!

All caught up and a great update!!! I am also a HUGE LOST fan! Isn't this season so good?!?!

I will have try EE one time at night...I have never thought of going there for night EMH b/c of the darkness but it sounds like it would be wort it just for EE.

What grocery companies have you used? My friend has a 4 yr old and 2 yr old so I am guessing they will want milk and breakfast items along with snacks. What were the pro's and con's of each?

Yes! This season is GREAT! Just baffling though...as usual. I love it!

PM EMH at AK IS worth it JUST for EE. I don't have a clue what else is even open! :confused3

Grocery services - this trip we used WeGoShop.com, last trip we used GardenGrocer.com

GG - a limited amount of things (though a big variety still), you pick things directly from their website. The prices aren't too bad, a tad higher than normal. Service was great - on time, the only problem we had was the delivery guy didn't check in with the WL, so it was a bit "lost" for a while and Bell Services had to search for it. But they found it, not a big deal.

WeGoShop - they are based all over the nation. A woman named Marge runs the one in Orlando that delivers to Disney World resorts. There are four stores listed on their website (Publix, Wal-Mart, Winn Dixie and something else?), but they will shop wherever you want them to if you know of a different store. The prices are whatever the store is charging, there is only a delivery fee depending on the total cost of your order. Marge was EXCELLENT to work with. I mentioned above I had a few questions and she was quick and complete over email. I also added a few things to my order that I forgot about just days before our arrival-no problem. The delivery woman (cannot recall her name?) was prompt and VERY kind. She did have to substitute a few things from my list, but she picked wisely. She also bought a larger count diaper box for us instead of the smaller I requested because the store was running a big sale on them which made them cheaper! I appericated this! You can put comments in the form on their website to buy store brand, or whatever is on sale, etc. Which I liked. The only drawback was you really have to know what you want (size, brand, etc) instead of GG where you can see a picture of the product and just click it. But, if you know what you want, it just takes a bit more to prepare.

We will be using WeGoShop.com again in December. We got bagels, cream cheese, milk, coffee, coffee creamer and yogurt for breakfasts. It was great having slow mornings right there in the room!

Great update! I will be trying EE the next time at night! That sounds so awesome!!! Love roller coasters!!
Your night in the villa sounds so relaxing, watching your favorite show, eating pizza, Henry sleeping in the next room... :goodvibes

EE at night was SUPERB! I love roller coasters too - EE just knocked the socks off me!!

The night was really nice - very relaxing and enjoyable - much like vacation should be!

Everyone,
Thank you so much for your kind words and concern about Henry being sick! :goodvibes I want everyone to be assured he DOES get better. Joe and I are still a bit baffled as to what made him sick in the first place (air sickness? excitement of a new place? random bug? too much dairy/overloaded system?), or why he was completely fine aside from the throwing up...no temp, happy, excited, running around, enjoying himself. This sort of thing has never happened to us at home...Kids keep you on your toes, don't they?! ;)

I've never been to the AK parade, Nemo show or bone yard. It looks like fun! I watch Lost too, it always keeps you on the edge of your seat!

We called several times to ask if our room was ready. They told us that they usually have the rooms ready around 6:00. :confused3 :( DH talked with them. I probably would have made a bigger fuss if I was the one dealing with them.

We stayed at Paddock. We walked over the long bridge many times. One time we were walking on the bridge and it unexpectedly started to downpour. We got drenched! I never ran through rain when it was pouring so hard you couldn't open your eyes.
:)

The AK parade is really colorful, high energy, music - it's a lot of fun! I bet your little ones would enjoy it. Nemo was a beautiful show, the music and puppetry is amazing. And the Boneyard is one cool playground! I like that Disney often has littler slides for the tiny tots, and bigger ones for the older kids.

Lost does keep you on the edge of your seat! Always throwing a curve ball too!!

I would have totally made a fuss about the room not being ready. Ugh. 6:00 pm is ABSURD. I really thought the DVC manuals, etc say 4:00 PM (in the regular hotels it's 3:00 pm).

That's awful about the downpour too! Ugh!! And being stuck on the bridge!! :sad2: One of those "memorable" times, right?! :rotfl:

I just got all caught up with your new TR this afternoon. Your experience with Henry at the tea and at Nemo was exactly what happened to us with our son this past fall. He was 17 months at the time so I'm hoping (for both of us!) that it's just the age.

Looking forward to more!

I just sat down for 3 hours and read your last TR and this morning was happy to see your new one! I'm glad you got to go to the Garden View at the GF for tea this time! I'm looking forward to reading the rest :yay:

I missed posting this picture during our walk through DTD. We ducked into some various shops, one being Magnetron. I was really close to buying this magnet..."Mom's Meal Planning" :rotfl:

IMG_5353Small.jpg

OMG - this is now the first thing I'm buying in September :rotfl:

Great update Brook and I'm sorry little Henry keeps getting sick...fingers crossed that you figured out why.

My DH and I saw that recap show and the premier of Lost when it replayed that Saturday night...we'd never seen an episode before and it hooked us! We are totally "lost" with it, but now must watch it every Wednesday. I guess I know who I can ask questions about it now ;)

great update!!

i think the parade in AK in my favorite... we saw it at Christmas time. it is just so different and the animal are all just so beautiful... i didn't realize that the same person designed them as did the costumes for Lion King on broadway (which we LOVED)... at least i think that is what i read.

and EE.... i am so ready to ride it... no one would ride with me last time but i think DD will this time... esp if i tell her NO LOOPS :cool1:

i am glad to hear that Henry gets better... no fun with sickness or random throwing up on vacation!!;)

looking forward to more:)

Hi Brook. I had read your previous TR before going to WDW last month. Actually I think we were there at the same time. :) After taking the DVC tour I bought into BLT. I'll be taking my nieces down in June to use our developer points at SSR, so it was nice to see the pictures of the room. Enjoying reading about your trip so far.

Congrats to you!

I'm so happy to see another installment Brook! EE is the only coaster I haven't ridden at WDW and it's because I get motion sickness and I'm a big chicken. Is it bad? I always feel like I'm going to fall out. LOL! Great update! I hope Henry starts to feel better. Cute little guy. I'm also a huge LOST fan. Jack is sort of my boyfriend. I know many love Sawyer but Jack is my guy. ;)

I hope it was just the age too - you are the second person to report their little one did the same exact thing, so I bet it happens A LOT (which our server tried to tell us, but I thought she was just partly being her nice self!).

I just sat down for 3 hours and read your last TR and this morning was happy to see your new one! I'm glad you got to go to the Garden View at the GF for tea this time! I'm looking forward to reading the rest :yay:

Hello there, welcome! Thank you for reading and joining up over here with the new TR. I am hoping to get more posted today.

OMG - this is now the first thing I'm buying in September :rotfl:

Isn't that the best? (and so true in our household!) I am regretting it a bit that I didn't buy it (Good thing we are going back in December! ;)). They had some CRAZY magnets in there, it was a fun store!

Great update Brook and I'm sorry little Henry keeps getting sick...fingers crossed that you figured out why.

I cannot even imagine coming into the season without seeing all the previous. It is SUCH a confusing show, sometimes I have to go back and look up stuff online to remember details. Feel free to ask any questions - sounds like quite a few people on my TR are Lost fans too! Last season there was a Lost thread on the CB here on the DIS, I haven't looked to find this season's, but I bet there is one!

great update!!

That is really cool about the costumes being by the same designer as Lion King on Broadway! I didn't know that! I never got to see Lion King (despite living in NYC!), but I only heard positive reviews of it.

I hope your DD will ride with you!! It's a great ride!

CONGRATULATIONS ON DVC!!!!!!!! (Oh, hey, I just noticed they changed the default smiles again so the dancing banana is back on the main page, :woohoo: and that guy, and this one: :yay: YAY!) Our first experience of DVC was VERY positive, we loved having the space! More SSR pics coming up too.

I'm so happy to see another installment Brook! EE is the only coaster I have ridden at WDW and it's because I get motion sickness and I'm a big chicken. Is it bad? Naw, it's not bad! Lots of people aren't big on the coasters. I get motion sickness pretty easily in a car, but not on roller coasters. I'm also afraid of heights, but I feel safe on roller coasters - I'm weird! :rotfl:

I'm with you on Jack, he's more my taste than Sawyer.

Hey there :wave2: Just dropping in to say that I love your TR's! I read your last one but I didn't start reading until you were already almost done with it so I just lurked. Anyway, this one is just as entertaining and your son is absolutely adorable :goodvibes Sorry he kept getting sick though. Did you ever find out what was causing it? Well, can't wait to read more! :)

We left off after watching Lost and fulfilling an amazing attempt of moving Henry in the Pack & Play without him waking....

The next morning Henry was up and ready to go at 7:30 am, which woke us up. This particular morning was not a lazy one, we had a morning ADR - but during our business around the villa there was one sad event - I tried to give Henry milk, just to see how it would go in hopes he would hold it down, but he didn't. :guilty: This reminded me to call my Mom. She is a nurse, a mother of three and a grandmother of three-one of those (my sister's little guy) is lactose intolerant, and they live with my Mom, so she is around this sort of thing often, plus, her medical background always gives me a peace of mind. :goodvibes

Warning, this isn't such a pleasant coversation...:scared: but....she asked about his poop, which was normal. She said, usually with intolerance you will get both ends, so she wasn't sure what it could be, but to avoid milk for a few days, even to the end of vacation, and just give him water/other fluids instead. If it didn't clear up, then call the doctor and take him in. Joe and I had already started to avoid milk - Henry hadn't had very much at all the past couple days being that we noticed the pattern of throwing up after milk/milk products. This was hard because he is a major milk, yogurt and cheese boy! But, if it would make him feel better, we would manage. I really hoped this wasn't the beginning of him being lactose intolerant, or something much worse. :sad2: But, I trusted my Mom's judgement and Henry was still acting completely fine, so we would continue to watch him closely and avoid milk for the next few days.

One other thing I managed to squeeze in during our morning around the villa was - more room pictures! :rotfl: I can't ever remember what I took pictures of, so I just keep snapping throughout the week...

IMG_5552Small.jpg

I wasn't the only person who loved this bathtub! Henry would often times go into the bathroom and just turn the water on, watch it run, and then walk away.

Very soon we were walking to DTD, then trying to catch a bus to the Poly. We had an ADR for Kona at 10:00 am! I was looking forward to this ADR almost as much as the tea - it was another one we missed back in November and their coffee has superb reviews, I was anxiously looking forward to tasting it myself! Plus, uh, hello, Tonga Toast? Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes?

Oh yes.

The buses at DTD were slow, but finally one came, and it shared with the CR, which was fine, we still had time. While riding the bus we realized we probably should have taken a bus to MK, then the monorail, but hindsight is 20/20, right? We still made it in time, so it was not a big deal. We checked in

IMG_5582Small.jpg

and were brought directly to a table. Our waitress was Teresa, who was GREAT. She was very friendly with Henry and "ooohed" at his light up toy, he kept blowing kisses to her, which just caused her to bring over the other servers so they could get kisses too! He loved them and they loved him! It was all very fun and sweet.

We ordered the press pot - OF COURSE.

IMG_5567Small.jpg

And whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa momma! This was so smooth. So so smooth. As I drank my cup, I closed my eyes and really thought this Kona Coffee was straight from heaven. For serious. Coffee lovers, GET SOME OF THIS STUFF! It's $40 for 12 ounces if you buy the grounds. I was so very tempted. The press pot is $7.49 and it really only fills about 3 mugs. Worth every penny. (And they do sell it in the coffee bar outside of Kona too-if I ever stay at the Poly I bet those CMs will know me by first name by the end of the week!)

We also each ordered a Lilikoi Juice, it was very good.

Joe got Tonga Toast with a side of bacon.

IMG_5579Small.jpg

I planned on doing Tonga Toast, but realized there would be zero way I could eat all that fried goodness without it killing my stomach, I could just have a bit of Joe's and that way I could also get the Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes that have been calling my name for months. So....I not only ordered those pancakes, but a huge platter - the Big Kahuna baby! French toast, Macadamia-Pineapple pancakes, eggs, home fried potatoes, ham, bacon, and sausage. Uh-huh, I love me some breakfast!

IMG_5578Small.jpg

Everything was FANTASTIC. Joe was drooling over his Tonga Toast (which I did get a bite of, and it was yummy!), I ate almost the entire Big Kahuna :rolleyes1 (sharing a bit with Henry too), those pancakes did not disappoint!

Kona breakfast gets a giant two thumbs up from me!! I would seriously have no problem eating there everyday. I dream of that coffee.

After breakfast we....

shopped and explored!

Big surprise, huh?

Lots of fun stuff in the shops

-and we bought a bag for all our extra gear (sweatshirts, jackets, hats, gloves, etc.) The bag was a cheapy, basically a cloth grocery bag, but it served the purpose and none of the other bags they had there jumped out enough at us to justify the cost of them.

More shopping!

IMG_5615Small.jpg

I LOVED this hoodie! I was very tempted to buy it, but knew Henry would grow out of it so quickly...

IMG_5617Small.jpg

I tried several times to get him to wear this hat...never worked!

After shopping, we refilled our mugs at Capt'n Cooks

IMG_5629Small.jpg

and went out to explore the resort.

That beach is beautiful.

And the pool.

IMG_5633Small.jpg

I love how the pool almost stretches right into the lake.

IMG_5637Small.jpg

IMG_5652Small.jpg

And the design of the buildings.

IMG_5646Small.jpg

Alright, it's all beautiful and I found myself saying "I'm making a executive family decision. If they ever build DVC here, we are buying in!" To which Joe did not argue. Henry loved it too!

IMG_5650Small.jpg

We wandered around where the boats were docked and the surrey bikes were parked

IMG_5661Small.jpg

Joe wants to do both someday, but this day was just much too cold, so we kept walking on.

Soon we decided to head back inside and catch the monorail to Epcot!

Hello there! Thank you for reading! I am glad to hear you have enjoyed the reports. :goodvibes

Thank you too for the compliment on Henry. :) We didn't ever firmly find out what was causing the sickness, but we had our theories...more on all that as the TR continues!

Wow! I had a lot to catch up on!!!

GF is such a gorgeous place! I'm like your DH. I just can't see spending that kind of money for no more than you end up being in there.

I love that you are able to take your time and do lots of browsing and shopping. You were able to get some interesting pictures.

DH and I stayed at POR. I loved the place. The bus stop closest to worked out well. I will be staying at POFQ this Sept. I'll let you know about that bus stop situation.

I'm glad you had a good time at AK and Kona.

My first thought when I read about Henry and his throwing up issues was that he might have reflux -- Connor had reflux but it got better once he was sitting up and walking. Did you ever figure out what was causing it?

You and Joe had the same experience that we had at Kona in April -- Kona coffee that was out of this world -- really the stuff is worth its weight in gold -- Tonga Toast and the Big Kahuna! Yummy, yummy, yummy!

You got some beautiful shots of the Poly!!!

Beautiful pics! Sorry that poor Henry still had tummy trouble.

Oh, Poor baby Henry! And Mommy and Daddy, too from worrying!! Have you since figured out Henry's issue with milk? Has it gotten any better? I hope!! You're so lucky to have your Mom that is a nurse to help you through that kind of stuff with your baby.:goodvibes

Breakfast looked TERRIFIC!!!!!!!!!! I'm starving right now so I"m pretty sure a bowl of cereal would have looked great to me, as well! LOL!:lmao: But seriously, I'm with you, I think I could have devoured that Big Kahuna breakfast myself, too, yum!!

Great landscape pics from the resort, they were beautiful!!! Nice job with those and I'm with you, the beach looked beautiful and very relaxing..wish I was there now!!

Thanks for sharing!!:goodvibes
