We let the dd 9 and ds 8 choose any dvc at disney for 2 days after our cruise and they took it on as a huge responsibility and looked through them all, pictures, descriptions and then looked at moderates and value resorts.

After hours of deliberation they chose ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. Pop Century :rotfl:

Its ok, they are soooooooexcited
They say it is more like Disney!!

My DS (5) has similar feelings. We've gone the last two years and done split stays at POP on the weekend before moving to BCV 2 yrs ago and SSR last year for Sun-Thurs nights. When I ask him about his favorite, POP is the one that comes up first - he loves the arcade (yep - all the stuff to do at WDW and he LOVES the arcade :rotfl: ).

Not saying that he didn't go crazy and have a ton of fun at SAB and the pool at SSR, but POP is the one that he almost always says first.

Proving once again that the kids don't really care where you stay at WDW, it's us resort snob parents that want the nice big rooms :rotfl2:

though it was so the kids could stay in one room and the parents in another room?

We love Pop too and we don't even have any kids! We're recent DVC members but just came back from a Pop/BWV split stay. Enjoyed both places immensely! Pop has frozen Coke for the refillable mugs - my DH loves that!

I'm with Terri (above poster) We don't have kids either but we like Pop. We own at BLT, have stayed at BCV, but Pop is great for those expensive weekend nights and the bus service is better than at the Contemporary or BC. My foodie Dh isn't crazy about the food court but since we barely even eat breakfast there, it doesn't factor in much.

I even like the food court at Pop...20% TiW discount, there are 2 dishes that I enjoy for dinner..there's salmon, and a crusted Parmesian chicken...I'm fine with going to Pop for a night or two.

We stayed at Pop on arrival day a couple of years ago. Since the point reallocation we may be doing that more in the future.

We let the kids do that for our Christmas trip this year. They looked at last years Dream Book and this years paper back we got in Dec that had BLT in it, they chose AKL Jambo house. Fine with us saves us points, as long as we can get the ressie at the 7 month mark.:thumbsup2

That's great. Our families most memorable memories at WDW are at Dixie Landings (I refuse to call it Port Orleans Riverside). Even though we own DVC, the kids always want to go there to stay/visit.

We leave Typhoon Lagoon and go to POP for the Rueben Flatbread for lunch at least once a trip. Their resort does have a fun vibe that makes us want to visit at least once a trip.

To OP, have a great cruise and fun at the POP.

Our kids always want to stay in the Toy Story hotel but their horrible mean mom and dad make them stay in those awful deluxe resorts instead ;)

We stayed in one of the Music suites last week for one night and I know now that its official - I AM A DVC SNOB!

Yeah, well, they don't have a snoring Grandma in the same room who also likes to stay up late reading, or have to do the laundry, or like to have the kitchen for having food handy, . . . . . . .

I like the Pop ambience, too, but sure didn't enjoy staying there in a tiny room, with a tiny bathroom, no fridge, really long walks to get anywhere, etc.

Love all the big icons, tho.
