I am so excited!!!!!!!
Disney World...YAY!!!
However;-(
I booked this holiday with Bounceback in February.
Got the blue envelope in the mail and noticed they had my name wrong for the air. They used my married name, my id is in my maiden name. I called Disney travel and they stated it was my error and in order to change I'd have to purchase a new ticket or get id issued in my married name. We went back and forth about this. Finally in August!!! a res agent called and said they had researched my travel history and all travel has been in my maiden name. Disney reissued the ticket in my maiden name. Phew, all is well...or so I thought. Getting ready to check-in online I found my res. number got a "cannot check-in online" notice. Called the airlines and the supervisor said I needed my paper ticket. Well, no paper ticket. Supervisor stated if I didn't have a ticket then I couldn't fly on that confirmation number and I'd have to purchase a new ticket. By now I am darned near in tears. C'mon guys this is supposed to be fun...not so much;-/
I call Disney and after about 30 minutes I am transferred to Wilson at the air help desk. Wilson finds that the supervisor who change my ticket never completed the process so I really have no ticket. Remember we are leaving tomorrow morning. Also, when I called the airlines after the first change they had the confirmation number in their files. Oh well, Wilson says there is no ticket and please hold. 20 LONG minutes later he comes back with yet another confirmation number. He waits while I see if I can print a boarding pass. I can!!! Wilson, you are my angel!!!
So we are leaving tomorrow, on the same flight...we are just sitting about a mile apart and the flight is full.
It's odd I've used Disney travel to book my holidays for the past 10 years and this is the first problem I've encountered..but my, what an infernal headache.
See you at POFQ~I'll be the one with the red Kipling backpack and a few added grey hairs.
