We leave this Wednesday headed to the Fort!!

We are headed to the Fort Wednesday, checking in on Friday, Mar 25th. We are getting super excited!! We love the fort.

We have about a 900 mile trip, so we are leaving at noon Wed, and plan on overnighting at the Camping World in Robertsdale, Al, then driving on to Ocala RV camp resort on Thursday, then driving on in to the Fort Friday for check in.

We have been packing up the RV like crazy, trying to get ready. We know Mon and Tuesday will be hectic at work, so the weekend has been spent packing. And we have a lot to pack!! We are staying at the fort for 10 nights then going to TopSail State Park near Destin for 5 nights!! And we are staying two nights traveling down to WDW. We have most packed except a few last minute items and the groceries. We don't need a ton of groceries though, bc we have the Deluxe Dining Plan this time

This is our last vacation for awhile, so we are going to stay awhile!! We are expecting a new baby this July!!!

It will be me, DH and our 4 yr old. My parents will also be checking in at the fort Friday. They are staying 5 nights. We have reserved a premium site, and requested Loop 1300, we stayed there last year and loved it!!

We will be there at the same time as you!! We will be checking in on Saturday, March 26th and will be staying 13 nights. We've been saving and planning for two years, since our last visit there. We have two premium sites - one for my husband and I, and one for our daughter, son-in-law and almost 3 year old granddaughter. We've been camping at the Fort since the early 80's, and can't wait to return. It's my FAVORITE place to vacation - above all else! Congrats on the new baby!!! Enjoy yourself!

I can feel your excitement! We're leaving on 4/27 and bringing the DD and her family (hubby and 2 grand kids 6 and 7) for their first trip to Disney World. They'll be riding down with us but have a cabin once we arrive.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes! We are very excited about the trip and the new baby!!!!

Today will be spent getting a few more things together and giving the Jeep that we tow a good cleaning.

The 4 year old is getting to be a handful..he is ready to leave NOW!!

This will be our first time to stay at the Camping World, but we have several friends anf family that have overnighted there.. if you are early enough, you can even plug up too. But, most days they say the plugs are taken, but we can just run the generator until bedtime, then I don't think we will need the a/c.

We will be joining you early Sunday morning. Departing Friday after work and will RON near Fort Campbell the first night and then someplace in Florida the second night . Up early and check in around 7:00 AM and then, I would guess, to the overflow lot.

Can't wait! We'd love to meet some of the people who have been so helpful on this forum. Maybe we'll run into someone with a truck that can help us back our enclosed utility trailer into our site? It's going to be tough with our motorhome, even with a hitch extender.

We are almost to Lake City, headed to Ocala today! Not far now!! The kiddo is getting really excited! We overnighted last night at Camping World in Alabama, we went to see the USS Alabama and had dinner in Gulf Shores! Been great traveling so far!
