while they went on bike ride with daddy I ran to Dollar tree and bought a mickey and princess balloons; 3 disney sticker sets; candy; glow bracelets. I had an old Disney pumpkin for trick or treating that I tied the balloons to and put in our letter from Mickey. Set it on the porch for kids to discover......

here's the sequence.....

The letter....

It was awesome!!! Now I get to hear....how many days? Are we going today? How many hours? etc. etc. but only for 22 days! Woo Hoo....

If I can just get my return flight. Oy.

OMG -- that is GREAT!! Even though I knew what was coming, my anticipation was building right along with each pic!!! That was a great way to surprise your kids and I hope you have a FABULOUS TIME!!!!

Great pics even without the flash!

That is so awesome!!!!

I love the play by play pics and the looks of Huh??

Then....OMG !!!!

Thanks for sharing and have a great time:thumbsup2

They're having a hard time sleeping right now...sigh.

DH went up and my oldest wanted to make sure he said 'Thank you for Disney World' to me when he came back down [she had just told him thank you also].

Those pictures are SOOOOOOOOOOOO fun!

What a great surprise for your kids!!! :thumbsup2

Have a great trip!!!:cool1:

well I hope you have a great trip.
Make sure you go to the parks all day and stay for illuminations (epcot).
And the fireworks at magic kingdom.
And go to at magic kingdom for 2 days if you can squeeze it in
because you won't be able to do it all in one day.:sad2:

have a great trip:cheer2:

How fantastic that you caught this all on the camera! The suspense is killing me. My dd(7) and ds(4)have told me that they don't want to know when we are going to Disney this time. She wants to be suprised. I want to talk about it so badly with someone! My dh just isn't into all of the planning and excitement like the rest of us are.

Have a family project now of making a Disney themed countdown calendar, maybe like an Advent calendar. They will enjoy making it and they won't have to keep asking you how many days!

Kimya

We're going to make countdown chains with construction paper after school.

They wanted to know if we were staying at POP again [loved it] and were disappointed when I told them No, this time we're staying at the POLY.

Then I reminded them it was where we had breakfast with Lilo & Stitch and showed them pics....'It's like Hawaii' [they've never been to Hawaii. LOL but that's what my 5 year old said ....too funny...must be from watching Lilo&Stitch.]

Great idea and thanks for sharing the pics! How do you say Graley ? I love it without even knowing how to say it. How long ago did you plan the trip? I don't think I could keep that secret!

how exciting! I hope I'm able to pull of a surprise like that with my kids! I hope you guys have a GREAT TIME!

I love the pics. We have surprised our boys twice and both times were priceless but we have no pics. They will remember this forever!!!!

GRAY-LEE

It's a childhood 'best' friend of mine long ago...she spelled it Graleigh but DH vetoed that spelling. People can never pronounce and often ask her to repeat it.

Funny enough though in Kindergarten she had a RAY-LEE [no idea how spelled] in her class. What are the odds?

We get lots of compliments on her name.

I planned the trip back in February I think. It's been tough. Especially since my parents are going and they're itching to discuss. And now some friends happen to be going the same time and their kids know and my niece and sis in law are going for the weekend.....so we knew we better tell them before someone else did. My sis in law kept saying something accidently this weekend [luckily went over the kids' heads]. LOL.

Last time we went, we told them at Christmas which was one week before we left. The last present was pal mickey holding up a sign telling them we were going to WDW. So fun.

My husband and I are 27. We just bought our first home last spring and kids are about 3 years off for us in the "master plan" we have. There are moments when I think gosh, I really like to be able to come home and relax and not have kids, or gosh, look at that poor mom, she is at her witz end!

Then there are moments like the one you just shared. It's one of those moments that reminds me why having children is worth it, worth all the energy, all the time, all the stress.

These pictures really brightened my day! I was glowing when I saw them! I can't wait to have moments like those in our future. :grouphug:
