We just received our Disney Visa cards...

DH called me at work and asked "I just checked the mail...did you sign us up for the disney visa card?!" I told him I had...to save up points for our next disney vacation...he is very happy about them...

BUT I have no idea how it all works! I honestly just signed up because of everyone on the disboards talking about them....

Can you all PLEASE give me the run-down of how they work, before DH starts asking for further details that I won't be able to answer...

I am curious about the point systems, how do we actually save by using it, ect...

The best to save is to charge everything you possibley can on the card and pay it off each month.

You earn 1 dream dollar for every $100 you spend. So it is a basic 1% reward.

Once you are ready to spend your rewards, you call for a rewards card and have them transfer the amount of rewards you will need. The balance that is then on your rewards card will expire the end of the year following the year you withdrew them, whether you have used them or not! So try not to transfer more than you know you will be spending. Earned rewards that have not been transferred to the card, won't expire for 5 years. ~~
