Hi, we just got back from Disney last night. We had the most magical trip ever. The crowds were so low that we walked on many rides. The weather was good. There was a lot of pixie dust throw at us this trip. I will be doing a full trip report but of anyone has questions, I'll be doing laundry all day so I'll be checking in so I'd be glad to answer anything I can.

By the way, anyone who wants to do MB, I say go! We had such a great time. FL was not crowded & the characters ride the rides with the kids...worth getting out early for!

I am interested in MB hours. How old are your children? Mine are 6,7, and 10(all girls). Are they too old? I haven't researched MB hours and if there are any requirements as far as ages. Also where did you stay and what did you think of the resort? TIA!!! ONLY 27 DAYS TIL OUR FIRST STAY AT POLY!!!

I think you will love the MB EMH. I was hesitant to go at first because I usually avoid EMH's but it was our first full day at Disney & we had to go to MK. We were there on 8/23 & we walked on every ride in FL & some 2x's between 8am-9am. Goofy rode the carosel with my oldest dd. Stitch was riding Dumbo. Mickey was out by Pinochhio Haus playing games with the kids. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Alice, Madhater, Goofy, Peter, & Wendy out there playing & meeting the kids. The rides were still walk on by 9am.
My kids are 5,7, & 10 & they loved having FL to themselves (well almost to themselves!) No requirements on ages...if you are a Disney resort guest then you can go.

We stayed at the Beach Club for the first time & it was pure heaven. The staff was absolutely wonderful & we were treated very well. The rooms are lovely & the beds are very comfortable.

I think MB will be perect for our DD2 and hope to be able to try it out when we are there. Thanks for reminding me to look into it !

We got back 9/2 and I agree, a great week to go. Crowds were low and walking on rides was awesome.

hmmmm- we must have went to a different Disney world then- we had a few walk ons but by the afternoon there were tons of people milling around and all the rides had very long waits. Yes, walk ons for the first 2 hours of opening and right before closing- but otherwise there will be a wait for any ride. If those were low crowds, I'd hate to see what its like in the busy season!

We also just got from Walt Disney World last night and our experience with the crowds were super low all day. Usually 10 minutes or less for most attractions. It was a great week to go. We only used fast pass for soarin. I can't remember the last time I did not have to fast pass anything. Our family will be going back next year at the same time! :bounce: My newphew went on Test Track 7 times in a row.

We left on Saturday after spending a couple of hours at Magic Kingdom. I'd say that the crowds were also fairly low until Saturday, when MK became packed! When we left at noon, people were pouring in. They seemed not to be resort guests as they were coming from the TTC and the parking lot ferry. Otherwise, we walked on most every ride. The longest wait was 15 minutes for Pirates. We used FP for Soarin' because we got to Epcot at 2pm, for BTMR because we wanted to ride twice, and EE. We went to AK on Thursday and headed straight for EE, but it was down. They were giving out FPs, which were all gone by 1:30 pm. The standby line was at least 50 minutes by then. We also went to MGM on the day Ernesto was to come through, and it was quiet, even though it was a Wiggles concert day. It didn't start raining til 4:30 pm.
We met a family that had come during the same week last year and they said there were more people this year. My DH also talked to a man who said they went to Disney Quest on Ernesto day, and so did everyone else! I think they hyped the weather event a little too much and the forecast time for the storm to begin was not accurate.
All in all, a great time, but I wish the temperatures had been a bit lower!

Great, glad all went well for your trip and everyone had a good time. Good to hear the weather was fine with everything that has been happening.

Magical Beginnings...from Debs site

Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom will open an hour early on select days for Disney guests and their small-fry for favorites such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, it's a small world and Peter Pan's Flight, and a new play area called Pooh's Playful Spot. Plus, youngsters can meet favorite characters during the special edition Extra Magic Hours. While guests must have Resort ID and valid ticketing for the parks offering this Fantasyland Extra Magic Hours, there is no additional charge to enjoy this extra time in the parks. This early access allows families with young ones to get an early start to their day and maximize park time before heading back to their Disney resort for an afternoon break.
