::yes:: Florida border I :Pinkbounc for joy, and then say, DARN! I WISH, he'd go right down to Orlando! (the book stops at the GA/FL border.)
I thought this too! But I printed off a direction sheet from Mapquest and it helped with this. It also helped getting from Port Huron to the I75! You just put in your address and the address of the Hotel and BINGO! Directions from your Door to Mickey's.....If only it wasn't a 22Hr drive!! :rotfl2: I'd be there in a flash! :flower:

See I ALWAYS use mapquest. Do you think that this book is better than mapquest? Personally I don't care about rest stops and fast food places on the way down. It can't be hard to pull off and get some gas and get back on the road. My main concern is any problem areas. Maybe for X-Mas I will buy the hubby a GPS for the van. Atleast I think thats what they are called.

I love this book but you need to decide for yourself check it out at the libraryor local bookstore. I found it great because speed limits change on a moment's notice...if you have the book you know this. Driving through Atlanta can be nerve racking when you have 8 lane going in one direction and they suddenly drop down to 6 lucklily we had the book to tell us what lane to be in at which time. Otherwise we could have been headed off to God only knows where. Check it out on line www.i75online.com. So I guess to answer your question I found this book very helpful. DH lent it to a coworker and she went out and bought her own after her trip. If it is your first time driving down I'd see if you could get your hands on a copy. Although a GPs system is wonderful I don't think it'll tell you what lane you want when driving through Atlanta. It also gives you pointers on were to expect thick fog/ mtn mist. And where they advise you not to have your cruise control because of road conditions and which areas are thick for deer etc.

hi dneygirl,

how much did u pay on toll?
Maybe $10 the entire trip. That's actually one thing I forgot to record. You pay crossing into the US on the Ambassador Bridge and then on the Florida Turnpike if I remember correctly.

Then we paid $2.10 on the NY State thruway and a few $$ in the tunnels in W.Virginia.
