So, my parents booked their ADRs today, for August. There was not ONE time slot for Le Cellier, open the WHOLE week they're going! There is also no times available at any of the Fantasmic restuarants..

They've been going to Disney for so long and this is the first time this has ever happened to them. :confused3 They are disappointed and just can't believe Disney switched to 90 days for ADRs..

I make ADRs for me and DBF on Sunday... I hope we have better luck :sad2:

Good luck- hopefully things get better.

Please tell them not to give up and to continue calling for a possible cancellation. We'll be arriving next week. Yesterday DH asked "why isn't Le Cellier on our list?" I just happened to "feel lucky" about 15 minutes ago and got an 8pm reservation.

That happened too when I decided to reserve at Tutto Italia. I could not get a time that was available and the CM wasn't convincing that one would become available. One night I called and found that the day & time we requested was available. I was pleasantly surprised!

Tell your parents to be persistent and continue calling. Hopefully a time will become available for them!

I agree your parents should keep calling back (I know I will if it happens to me). Good luck making your reservations..I make mine Tuesday:scared1:

I hope you and your family get to dine at Le Cellier. :goodvibes From what I'm reading consistently here on these boards is that you need to keep trying. People do cancel.

Living on the west coast, I have to get up at 3:50am :scared1: next Wednesday to make our ADRs. Already I'm getting nervous about computers crashing, being put on hold for hours, where we want to go eat and what we are actually going to get. Le Cellier is one of our must-dos, as is Ohana's and Teppan-Edo.

That 90 day thing stinks! :sad1:

If their August dates are the same time as free dining, they may have a difficult time getting any ADR's. Still, I've had luck calling 2 days before my trip just to see if things I wanted had opened up and they often do. :yay: Keep trying!

I got a LeCellier lunch today for 7/2. The July 4th week has been sold out for a while. Just keep trying!

i don't see why le cellier is so hard to get:confused3. its probably not the best restaurant in wdw, some say its not even the best steakhouse!while one of my friends was trying to book le cellier,i had the time to book boma, biegarten, teppan edo, ohana AND brown derby(they still got teppan edo and brown derby though)

1.) It's one of the few places you can get really good steak in a theme park without leaving and going to one of the resort restaurants.

2.) It's small so the seating fills up fast. Several Disney restaurants look to be the same size, but have multiple rooms that double or triple the occupancy. With LeCellier what you see in that room is all the seating there is.

I dont' think it is that special myself - it's nowhere near the best restaurant in WDW - but it's the only one credit steak house. I am not a steak eater, but I am constantly surprised by the number of people who absolutely love steak. And getting steak cheap on the DDP apparently heightens its allure. Because it doesn't interest me so much, I don't see the hype.

I guess you mean it's the only 1 TS credit Steak you can get in the parks?

Steak is at Captains Grille, Yachtsmans, etc......which is pretty close to Epcot....

I can't wait to try Le Cellier....it's recommended to me by all my DFF's (Disney Fanatic Friends) plus it's the #2 WDW Restaurant on tripadvisor.com....It's usually #1...but lately it's #2 after Victoria and Alberts...

Hugs,
Mary

LeCellier is a fabulous "deal" on the DDP - - simple as that. When we eat at LeCellier, for 2 adults and 1 child, our bill is about $130, and with the DDP, that $130 turns into 1 TS credit for each of us. We've always had great food at LeCellier, no doubt, but DH and I both agree that our favorite steakhouse at Disney is Yachtsman (but it takes 2 TS credits, so not as good a "deal" as LeCellier).

To the OP, it really stinks that your folks weren't able to get what they wanted - - it appears that (as everyone predicted) the ADR system is a mess and it is *very* unfortuante that there have been reports that some people have been given an extended time frame to book their ADRs...which is quite unfortunate. Hopefully, your folks will be able to snag a cancellation for LeCellier, and good luck to you this weekend with your own ADRs. :goodvibes

It's the only 1 credit restaurant billed as a Steak House. Yachtsmans is 2 credits. Other restaurants have steak on the menu but are not Steak Houses.

No way would I ever consider Le Cellier the second best restaurant in WDW - it wouldn't even be in my top ten - but there's the steak thing again, I just don't order steaks.
