Party, party, party! Our favorite place at WDW is, of course, Ft Wilderness and we've stayed in the cabins 3 times, believe it or not, once in #118.

I found a 2009 318RLS Jayco that the camper dealership owner camped in twice. It's never been registered and we got it for 1/2 off the MSRP. And they threw the hauling equipment in for free!

Can't wait for the first time we use it at the fort. Hopefully it'll be this October as DH has the whole month off for vacation.

You stayed in #118?

How did you manage that one?

Oh, by the way, Congrats! Welcome to the herd!

Thanks everyone! Can you tell I'm so happy to be a "herd" member? LOL!

Yes, Steve and I actually got to stay a week in #118. I didn't even know at the time how rare it seems to be for us regular Joes to stay there. I did note that the desk clerk seemed a little excited that I'd be staying in 118 but it didn't really register at the time.

Honestly, the main difference between 118 and any other cabin is that all the dishes matched and location of the cabin.

Here are a few shots of it.

When you hang out on these boards, people call us all sorts of things! Lol

Congratulations! If you have not thought about it, I recommend that you put an awning over the slideout. Saves having to climb on something to sweep debris off of it before you pull it back inside after a camping trip. We have had them on both of our campers and DH swears by them.

Yes, this is something we definitely want to get. I think it would be well worth the extra money!

Thank you everyone for the welcomes and congratulations. I think we're already planning an October visit to the fort!;)

Right now, our '99 Chevy Tahoe but we are buying my mom's '07 Tacoma to pull it with.

Not sure of your exact model, but a 2007 Tacoma 4x4 extended cab truck with 127.8" wheelbase is only rated to tow 6500 pounds. The camper you just bought weighs 6100 pounds empty according to the specs I located. That only leaves you with 400 pounds of gear to put in it. And that really is not a lot of stuff.......

If you have the LS 4 door 2 wheel drive Tahoe, its max towing capacity is rated at 7,000 pounds. All others have a max of 6500.

Cutting it close guys. We totaled a F150 pickup and travel trailer back in 2003 because we had too much trailer for our tow vehicle to handle. Please be safe.

Yep, that IS too close. That 6500 lbs is reduced by people and stuff in the truck also!!

So you can do it if you only travel with 1 adult in the truck, the camper totally empty and about 1/2 tank of gas.

The GVWR on this trailer is just over 6300 with the gas tanks filled. We have a 4 door LS Tahoe and had a travel trailer last time that "bone dry" weighed 7300 and the Tahoe pulled it. So, hopefully we'll be able to do it.

I meant to say we were buying mom's TUNDRA. Dh said there's a big towing difference. As you can tell, I don't know about these things, just along for the ride! LOL!

Other than going into the higher elevations of Tennessee to pick up the trailer, we'll mainly be using it on the low, flat I-10 from LA to FL to camp at the fort.
