She was really annoying. REALLY annoying. She just thought she was right ineverything that she was doing. I forgot to mention that she was obsessed with the birds too. Oy!I love pool days!!Especially when frozen drinks make an appearance
Okay what was with your old lady captain and your longest boat ride ever?!!And then she was correcting the others on the docks? Ughhhh Imagine how they all must feel to work with her every day
Sorry your food at Fulton's wasn't that great....the soup did look kind of eh but the fritters looked good...I haven't had those in ages!!
Glad you were able to take a nice nap and bounce back after the not so fun afternoonCute that your mousekeeper wanted to make your bed so that you would sleep better
That is one thing you don't get with DVC is the mousekeeping but I don't miss it....
Tracy
That is a boat story and 1/2. Wow!Speaking of long boat rides.....let me tell you a story. We were staying at the Poly and the plan was to go back to the resort and watch Wishes from our room balcony since we had a Theme Park view. Well, wouldn't you know it we got the WORST boat driver of life. He took his sweet time from MK to GF then to Poly. I could've killed him. First we stopped at GF to let off some passengers. Then, because he took so long untying the darn boat, the electrical water pageant was going through and he couldn't move the boat. I literally had 5 minutes before the fireworks started!!! And we had left with 30 minutes to spare!!! Finally after white knuckling the whole ride, we disembarked just as the fireworks were starting. I swear it was like my worst nightmare coming true. I SPRINTED to our room to catch the last few minutes of Wishes. My mom couldn't run so Bubba stayed behind to walk with her. Since it was nighttime, my mom got confused and couldn't find our room. They of course eventually found the room but it was a terrible situation. All because of that stupid boat captain!!!!
It's actually a pina colada & raspberry blend, it is soooo good! You need to try it!!Loving your panoramic shots! Wish we had a collection of all resorts and rides, how cool would that be?! Now that should be a new goal.
Is that a pina colada and strawberry blend? If so, amazing! My fav is at rainforest, instead of using a pina colada and putting the strawberry puree in the bottom, its a strawberry daquiri but made with malibu coconut rum..so good!!
I'm so sorry about your bad meals! Well...good meals, but bad timing with your band, I so so SO hope they go much better on your trip with jen, now that you've had more practice at what to stay away from!
POR was so relaxing, it was a very nice resort to get a break from the parks.A pool day is the perfect way to take a break from the parks!
POR's pool looks so relaxing. Definitely want to stay there one day.
I thought 11AM was way too late, I was ready at 9AM!I agree with you, LL... WHY do they wait 'til 11am to open the bar??It's vacation. Pina coladas at 10am are perfectly reasonable!
So sorry you didn't have a great Fulton's experience.
Your pool pics look lovely - what a nice atmosphere - and so uncrowded!!
Uh huh, keep telling yourself I will be buying it for you.Great relaxing update!! Glad you had such a great morning just enjoying the pool and taking time to just stop and smell the roses!!! YAY!!! Frozen drinks look good!!!
UGHHH to eating problems....I can see how that could easily ruin a day quickly! Glad you were able to get some food later and enjoy it!!!!!
YAY for Haunted Mansion life...the game you will be buying me in January!!
Can't wait for another update!
I haven't started clinicals yet, December 9th. Though I really really want to take a break. I'm toying with the idea of a month long break but who knows.Nice update LL. Well, all except for the evil crackers. Ughhhhh I can just feel your frustration on the eating thing. Especially the fact that you are spending a lot of money to eat a nice meal and then you can't eat. That has got to be frustrating beyond belief.
You got some really lovely pictures of the pool and I'm so glad you had a nice pool day. That drink looked delish. And here's to a nice afternoon nap. It all sounds great!
I hope your clinicals are going well!
It was very relaxing. Though I did miss my quiet pool a little bit.I'm glad you enjoyed your time at the pool on Ol' Man Island. Sounds like a nice, relaxing time was had. So sorry to hear about your experience at Fulton's.![]()
Exactly! Overall it was a very good day. What a lovely relaxing day! Well, except for the dinner. But at least most of the day was nice, right?
It was the biggest problem on our vacation, the whole eating situation. Just when I thought I figured out what to order, a curve ball was thrown at me.Leslie - what a beautiful relaxing pool day! I agree - bar should have opened earlier!!
So sorry that food gave you trouble again! I just can't imagine how difficult it must be to have to think so much about your eating and then still get sick. I hope you have a better experience in the next few days on this trip and better time on your trip with Jen!
I really love my camera and it's panoramic shot ability, it's a neat feature to have especially in Disney.Dude, I'm all about drinking lunch. I love me some Pina CoLava. Can I have one right now?
Love the panaromic shots of the pool and Riverside. They came out really nice, looks like the camera walk was fruitful.
This is my kind of a day. I'm sad to say this doesn't really happen on our trips now that we have kids, but I'm going to have to make of an effort next time...if not a pool day, at least a pool morning, or resort morning would be nice to take a break from the parks.
I really love Fulton's, but haven't been there in years. Sorry the meal was less than stellar.
Fulton's just seemed tired to me, don't laugh but it actually reminded me of a place that my grandfather liked to eat at but no one else in the family did.![]()
We still refer to it to Grandpa's place. In fact, every year I threaten at the family swap to get a gift card to it and everyone groans.Oh no! That's too funny.
You should have been there with Mom and Nana and I when we would eat at the bar. Now those were good times.![]()
It was so nice to relax, we really needed it at this point. What a lovely day by the pool! Relaxing and drinking a meal -- sounds fine to me!
It's amazing how different the boat captains are at PO. Sometimes they are amazing, others just plain are ICK! Bummer about the crackers at Fulton's and the place feeling so old. I am glad you were able to enjoy Wolfgang's and fritters later on!
I'm trying to be on a roll. I know the next few weeks are just going to be busier so I am hoping to finish this TR up soon!Great update LL!! I'm excited to hear more about your best day!
I like Liberty Square too - haven't been in Hall of Presidents in a while. Think I'll hit that one next trip for sure. I don't think my kids remember it.
I even read all the signs you posted - I learned some things!!
Love Marc's pirate picture - and your caption was very sweet!!
I'm behind, I don't even KNOW how many updates on your TR.Ugh! I got behind two updates! Been super busy with trying to buy a car, waiting on a job that I STILL haven't heard about, homeschooling, etc...
Anyway, LOVE that I made a cameo appearance in your last update. HA! I remember that bird- LeeAnn was feeding it pieces of breakfast burrito. It was a lovely chat we had that morning, and again fun to get to know you better sitting casually in such a lovely setting.
I really, really wanted to be in MK on 9/11 specifically for the Flag Lowering Ceremony, but it just didn't work out in our touring plan for it. I think we ended up at EPCOT that day. I"m just diggin' at how you breezed through the attractions! What luxury to have such empty lines and yet enthusiastic CMs.
Isn't it great to know about the history and story of an attraction before you go?? I love how you were all excited about John Adams and how it really enriched your time in HoP because of your passion. Neat, Leslie!!
Thanks! I had lots of fun taking pictures from the treehouse, the group behind me didn't enjoy it as much though.Awesome, awesome pictures from the Treehouse LL!!They are spectacular!!
I love that you suggested going on Splash...and then as soon as it is out of your mouth...thinking "did I just say that out loud?!!" However you were smiling and laughing in the picture so I will take that as proof that you liked it!
Isn't it wonderful walking around with no agenda...just do whatever you so desire
Oh yes and I love the shot of Mary and BertAdorable!!
Tracy
I was worried to eat lobster, I can eat at it home but if I rush I can get sick. Bah. I think it was my mood more so than Fultons that was bad.I missed your pool update! It sounds like a very relaxing day!
I'm sorry you had such a bad experience at Fulton's! We ate at Fulton a few years ago and it was a fabulous meal! We had lobster and crab and it was just like eating a great meal at a great restaurant at home!
Woo hoo for an early, empty morning at MK! I love that picture of you and Marc!!
It was such an awesome morning. With all our ride mojo, the heat wasn't bothering us at all!OOOH...MK all to yourselves, doesn't get much better than that!!!
I love that picture of you and Marc too! You guys look so good and so happy!!!!!!
Oh you got some great photos from the treehouse!! LOVE IT!! You had a great eye!!!
Liberty Square, also one of my faves, of course it is home to the bestest ride in the whole world LOL!!!!!!!
Thank you! I had a good time taking the pictures.Yay for no crowds! What a perfect MK morning. I love your Liberty Square pictures!

You should do rope drop at least one time!!Wow! I am in awe of your Liberty Square/no one else around photos. It *almost*makes a girl want to set the alarm for rope drop!
Off to check out John Adams in my netflix queue...
Excellent start to your MK morning, I can't believe the crowds (or, I should say lack thereof)!!!I also LOVE the picture you took from the treehouse, looking out onto MK, it's amazing!
