We invite you, if you dare ……… Summer plans 08/04 Day 25

Around 6.30 we will then head back to the room, freshen up and shortly before 7pm we will head down to the Contemporary Resort Marina. There we will meet our friends Michelle

and Ann

WFC2_zps121673fb.jpg

and their families and we all will get onto a 25 ft. Pontoon Boat

and out onto Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon for a Wishes Fireworks Cruise!

wfc1_zps6107cf73.png

It will be awesome to spend time with friends and experience the fireworks from the water at the same time. I guess after the cruise we will still sit together somewhere and chat a bit before it will be time to say goodbye to friends and we will walk back to our Bay Lake Tower.
If it is still early enough we will head up to the lounge again for a night cup or since I guess we will be too excited to go to sleep right away, we will sit out on the balcony for a while with a drink before going to bed.

I am so EXCITED:cool1::cool1::cool1:To be pictured in your trip report!!!!
We can not wait to get to spend time with you guys!!!!
The fireworks cruise is so exciting too:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
The weather here in Florida has been FANTASTIC close to 80 most days and lots of SUNSHINE!!!
See ya real soon......

Woot Woot!

Jill in CO

Thank you!

Yeah! I knew you would be in on the dancing. ;)

:worship::worship::worship: for single digits

I LOVE single digits! Thanks for joining in the excitement. :woohoo:

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

BTW don't ask about the new ticker...long story

Thanks for joining in on the happy dance! ;)

But .....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Now, that ticker is NOT good news to ME! :rotfl2:
Well, if we are not going to meet you HAVE to do a LOOOOOOONG trip report to keep me entertained. ;) :rotfl2: :lmao:

Yes, snow/rain mixture makes for terrible driving conditions!! Stay safe!

Oh no! So sorry to hear Tom's first day back was so terrible :( hopefully he will adjust to the new system and his days will become shorter. What an extremely exhausting day!

Super yay and dancing for the single digits!! :)

Tom didn't have a fun first week back to work. :sad2: He came home very late every day and was exhausted .... so glad he only has 5 more work days until he has another vacation! :thumbsup2

Thanks for joining our single digit dancing! It is such a good feeling to be so close to a vacation, then, on the other hand .... it's over so quickly once it has started. :sad2:

We are so looking forward to spend more time with you too! :cloud9:

The closer it gets the more excited we get about this vacation. Even though it is very short for us and we are trying to cram so much into it, it will be a much needed break. :thumbsup2
So envious of all the gorgeous weather you guys are having. It is cold and grey and dreary here.
7 more days and we will be there. :woohoo:

Sorry for the lack of updates and replies last week. The weeks leading up to half term are always pretty hectic and stressful and didn't leave much DIS time.
Tom has had an aweful week too. His new rounds have been "created" by computer and it just doesn't make much sense. He leaves his house at 5.50 every morning and has not come back before 7pm on any day last week. Thank god, he has another vacation coming up soon.

Now on to the FUN stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

At this time, 7 days from now we will already be at Frankfurt airport, having some nice breakfast before our intercontinental flight to Orlando! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:
7 more sleeps and we will be on our way!

Day 7, February 22

Park day

This is going to be our only full park day of this trip. The MK opens at 9am and if we will be able to crawl out of bed soon enough we will head over to the Wave for breakfast.

IMG_2761.jpg

If not we will just have some coffee and a doughnut (guess we will get some Krispy Kreme the day before) in our room. I hope that we will be at the Magic Kingdom for rope drop and we’ll head right for the new Fantasyland.

DSC_0644.jpg

I guess we will head for the Little Mermaid ride first, as we have not seen/done that yet and after that we will head over to Storytime with Belle, which we have been lucky enough to preview last summer.

I really wanna see if they kept it the way it was, which should be awesome. Depending on how long it takes us to check out the area we will then head over to Storybook Circus and check out the new additions as some of it wasn’t open last summer. After that if the lines allow it, we will try to get in line for Be our guest and have an early lunch there.
Around midday we will head back to our room to freshen up a bit,

DSC_0951.jpg

rest, explore the shops at the Contemporary and then ride the Monorail over to Epcot.

epcot.jpg

Once we have gone through bagcheck and the turnstiles we will get onto Spaceship Earth

IMG_3885.JPG

if the line is not too long. Next stop will be Mission Space

IMG_3887.JPG

and then a short visit to Mousegear. I guess by then it will be time to head to the World Showcase for dinner at the Rose and Crown.

IMG_5751.JPG

Since we won’t have to drive we will be able to sample some of their liquid adult offerings as well.

IMG_5738.JPG

IMG_5739.JPG

After dinner we will walk around the World Showcase

IMG_5735.JPG

and maybe even catch a glimpse of Illuminations

IMG_6328.JPG

before we head over to Test Track and try our luck in the single rider line if the standby one is too long. Other rides we might hit during Extra Magic Hours are Soarin, the Nemo ride and Living with the land,

IMG_6344.JPG

which we never seem to get tired of. After the Extra Magic Hours are over we will either head to the bus stop or just get a taxi to take us back to Bay Lake Tower as I guess the Monorail will no longer be running to the Monorail loop hotels. Once back we will quickly pack most of our stuff up and then head right to bed.

That sounds like a perfect way to spend the day, particularly starting with breakfast at the Wave! Yummy! I also love the Rose and Crown, so great food picks all the way around!

Sounds like great plans Karin. I can't wait to see the new Fantasy Land and eat at Be Our Guest during our stay in Sept. I look forward to seeing your pics and read all about your visit. Have fun!!!!

Wow, only seven days to go! We will be heading south ourselves in little over a week. No Disney on this trip south just sand & sea!

The breakfast at the Wave looks tasty, we ate dinner there a couple of years ago, we liked it,
But haven't been back.

Your day sounds perfect !!The roast beef and yorkshire pudding looks soooo mouthwatering !! I have to make some yorkshire ,mmmmmm!!! I can't wait to explore the new Fantasyland in October and again in December !!!

We LOVE breakfast at The Wave! It is the only buffet I really WANT to go to. :lmao: And so convenient if you stay at BLT. ;)
I wonder if we will make it to BOG for lunch, and if not, I guess we will be at Epcot rather sooner. I changed the evening ADR a few times and in the end stuck with R&C. You cannot go wrong with some real British grub! :goodvibes

Thanks, Teresa!
We were lucky enough to be invited to preview the new Fantasyland as you know. So I cannot wait to go back and see the "finished product"!

Is that your LOOOOOOONG vacation? And, is it Florida again?

You should really try breakfast at The Wave. I am not a huge fan of buffets, but this one is really good! :thumbsup2

Thanks Rosie!
Roast beef and Yorkshire pud are some of my favourite British foods! :cloud9:
I cannot wait to see the finished Fantasyland. We did preview it in September and it was AWESOME!! :goodvibes

Now, guess what .........

I thought my ADR window was going to open today, but I was a day off! :rotfl2: It had actually opened yesterday.
So I tried yesterday and funnily enough it lets you click on the +10 days, but then never comes up with an ADR. Tricky, tricky!
Well, I decided to make those ADRs a day at a time, so today I did the ones for August 8.
They are:

drumroll please .............

breakfast at Olivia's and
dinner at Be our Guest!

So far so good ....... tomorrow I'll make the last ADR for the first three days, dinner at The Wave, always a favourite of ours. :thumbsup2

Those plans sound great (we really need to try The Wave one of these trips). We never did Storytime with Belle (or whatever it is called); not waiting 80+ minutes.

WOO HOO for getting BOG...hope you love it (we sure did).

Karin, I can't believe you of all people were a day off !!!:)

Yes it is our long vacation, be gone six weeks to south Florida!

Score on your ADR for BOG! I may go there for lunch during I our September trip. I know we will do Boma as Bob insists on eating there again. Another ADR I want to get is the Sunrise Safari.

Karin you know you turned me into an Olivias Breakfast fan !!Will hve to a see if we can squeeze it in for October !! Maybe the Grannies will go along with it too !!!

Yay BOG :yay:

Yes Karin...we are in Novemebr now...one of these days...I will stop changing...nah, who am I kidding, one of these days my change WILL coincide with your trip :flower3:

:yay::yay::yay: for only 7 days!!!

Sounds like a great day planned.

The Wave breakfast buffet looks very good, I think we will have to try it. BOG restaurant closes at 2 for lunch so they can switch over for dinner. I really wanted to go there in Dec, but of course never made it there. It's supposed to be beautifully decorated. LM ride was good, the que was cute. We ate at Rose and Crown for the first time in Dec. We really enjoyed the food and is now a new restaurant on our list.

Congratulations on your ADR for BOG...that's a hard one to get. :thumbsup2

Hi Karin,

Just one week to go - that is wonderful.
Do give us a wave as we watch the ships leaving on the Port Canaveral webcam every week!

Carole, Mike and Jenny

Thanks, Kathy!
You really have to try the Wave, even though I am not sure you would like it that much.
We were able to see Storytime with Belle during the preview last August and even though we waited about 40 minutes it was SO worth it. Beautiful little show!

We actually had a reservation for BoG for our upcoming vacation, but I guess I told you that our friend who had booked it for all of us, died of cancer the day before New Year's. We decided NOT to go in February as it seemed awkward without her.

Karin, I can't believe you of all people were a day off !!!:)

Yes, I know Linda! :rotfl2: I should have known, with all the tickers I have going! :lmao:

How was DLRP? Give me a shout when you start your trip report! :thumbsup2

:woohoo: 6 weeks is my preferred vacation time! :thumbsup2
I wish we could travel for that time every year, but it just doesn't always work out.
Take LOTS of pics of that vacation ...... I am counting on you doing a TR!!! ;)

Karin you know you turned me into an Olivias Breakfast fan !!Will hve to a see if we can squeeze it in for October !! Maybe the Grannies will go along with it too !!!

:woohoo: Rosie likes Olivia's breakfast! :woohoo:
It is good, isn't it? And if you cannot squeeze it in in October, you definitely have to take the Grannies! :goodvibes

Yay BOG :yay:

Yes Karin...we are in Novemebr now...one of these days...I will stop changing...nah, who am I kidding, one of these days my change WILL coincide with your trip :flower3:

November instead of August!!!!!!! What are you thinking, Jeanette! :rotfl2:
Well, I do understand, completely! I would travel at a different time too, if I could. :goodvibes
Can't wait to hear about ALL the changes. :thumbsup2

:yay::yay::yay: for only 7 days!!!

I cannot believe we only have 6 more days. Once you hit the double digits time starts to go faster, but once you hit the singles ........ IT RUNS!!!!!

Elaine, if you haven't tried the breakfast at the Wave, you definitely have to! It has great offerings and isn't terribly busy. :thumbsup2
Tom and I have decided that we will try to get into BoG right when they open and if we can't we won't push it, but instead either head to one of the Monorail resorts for a CS or go to Columbia Harbour House. :thumbsup2

Looking forward to the LM ride, even though I heard the line can get quite long. :scared1:

Carole, Mike and Jenny

Yes, a week from today, there will be NO work and just play! ;) :beach:

If you stay up that late and watch the DREAM pull out, watch out for someone waving with Mickey gloves!
That should be us! I'll give you an extra wave when we pass Fishlips! :wave2:
