We invite you, if you dare ……… Summer plans 08/04 Day 25

DH and I have stayed at Hampton Inn's a couple different times and have always been happy with them!! :)

We actually stayed at one YEARS ago and I remember it fondly. :goodvibes It was quite a journey getting to this reservation, but I am now pretty happy. And glad to hear that you have always been happy there too! :woohoo:

A much better choice!

That's exactly my thought, Doris! :thumbsup2

Karin, that is a fantastic option regarding one time use points. Good job, Disney!!

How is Tom's back? Has he returned to work?

Also, just sent you a PM :)

The Hampton Inn looks like a really great choice :)

It's exciting that you get to make your ADRs at the weekend - do you plan to try anywhere new?

I hope CG is open for you by then !

I was real happy that I DID remember about them. :rotfl2: It's so hectic at school, it is hard for me to keep my mind straight! ;)

Tom's back is much better, thank you! He returns to work tomorrow and we'll see how he feels tomorrow evening.
It won't be fun for him tomorrow - they changed most of the streets in his rounds (he's been doing the same for almost 25 years) and it will be all new "searching" for the right mailboxes.

Thank you for the PM! I already answered it.

I am pretty happy with my choice ..... and if I were not, it would not matter. They had a great online offer, which meant pre-payment, so I am stuck with it. But since we had stayed at one of those before and were happy I am quite sure we'll like it. And it's just for the night.

So far the only new reservation I want to make is for BoG. We wanted to go there in February and a friend from the DIS even made an ADR for all of us, but sadly she passed away on Dec 30. :worried:

I really hope CG will be open again in September so we can continue with our tradition of eating there every summer. If not, Ron will be at Coral Reef. :thumbsup2

Have a great week at work, hopefully it's not too hectic but thankfully you have a vacation quickly approaching!! :)

Wishing Tom a good return back to work, I hope searching the new addresses isn't too terrible for him!

Good choice on The Hampton Inn. We have one in my area and my friends stayed there and really liked the hotel. I didn't know about those one time use points. I'll have to tell Howie, but since he is the DVC planner he probably already knows. Something to keep in mind for the future. Wish Tom good luck on his new rounds.

Love the Hampton Inn. They are a little pricey, but the beds are worth it (we usually always stay there when we visit the kids in Dubuque).

Karin, that looks like a very nice Hampton Inn! We've stayed in several over the years and have never had a bad experience. :)

Now that my cold is over and being bummed about canceling the cruise is letting up (not completely - still trying to figure out a way it could work...I am not good at accepting what is out of my control!!)... Anyway....I cannot remember if congratulated you on OKW! :cool1: Fabulous news!!!

It is looking more and more like Sophia and I will be there in August overlapping a couple of your days - she is pretty shy, but hopefully we can squeeze in time for an ice cream together.:goodvibes

How is Tom today?

Thank you! It started off less hectic, but the weather somehow is not cooperating. It is snowing, then raining, which makes for yuck driving conditions.
Tom's first day back to work was a nightmare! He started at 6am, so had to get up at 5am and did not come home until 7.30pm. He had a half hour break all day. To say he was "done" in the evening would be an understatement.

I am pretty happy with the Hampton Inn. It looks pretty nice and the price was VERY reasonable. :thumbsup2
To be honest, I cannot remember where I read about the one time use points, but they are now advertising them on the new website. :goodvibes You need to call to buy them, but the process is so easy and it was a breeze booking OKW. :woohoo:

Kathy, I didn't find the Hampton Inn pricey at all. We pay a little over 100$ for one night and that includes hot breakfast. :thumbsup2
I think we made a good choice - especially when I see all the positive response here. :goodvibes

Thank you, Christine! All the positive response here makes me feel much better about all the changing. I really had to LOL when I changed twice in a day - I felt like I was part of the resort changers. :rotfl2:

Christine, if you should not cruise (doctor's orders) than you SHOULD NOT cruise! It's a fun experience, but there are other fun experiences to be had. :goodvibes
Thanks for sharing our excitement about booking OKW for the last leg of the trip! It was so funny, because 5 nights at a 1 bedroom at OKW were actually 35 vacation points cheaper than 4 nights in a 1 bedroom at BCV. ;) :lmao:

I am sure we can have ice-cream somewhere in the summer! I would LOVE to meet you and your beautiful granddaughter. Loved the pics on FB!

I have still not ruled out going in 2014 !! I may just have someone by the time I cruise in May!!!!

Yes, snow/rain mixture makes for terrible driving conditions!! Stay safe!

Oh no! So sorry to hear Tom's first day back was so terrible :( hopefully he will adjust to the new system and his days will become shorter. What an extremely exhausting day!

Super yay and dancing for the single digits!! :)
