Water parks at disney.
We purchased 7day premium tickets (PH and 5 extra opption)
Thought we would go to both water parks (on different days). We have 3 days to fill in with no park days. This will be June 8 to 17.

Would like input on what time of day is best to go?
Would you drive or use Disney transportation to water parks?
Should we take our own towels?
Weekends/Weekdays?

Any other information would be great.

I'd say that the morning would be the best time to hit up the water parks during the time that you're going. In the summer, the water parks fill up so quickly because it's so hot. DW and I went last July, and the water parks actually closed down the doors for a few hours each day around 1pm until around 3pm. When the water parks get filled to a certain capacity, they won't allow other people to come in until the numbers die down a little. My suggestion would be to go when it first opens, and stay until around noon, when it'll get super crowded. You can also try and get a few hours in towards the end of the day, around 3:30pm or 4pm.

In terms of transportation, I'd take the Disney transportation. There will be a lot of buses for Blizzard Beach in the morning, because it's the same bus for Animal Kingdom. Typhoon Lagoon is the same bus as Downtown Disney, I believe but I'm not sure, so there's always lots of buses for that too.

Both parks provide free towels to guests, but you can bring your own from your hotel if you'd like. I'd suggest going on a Weekday to the water parks. I don't think there will be a huge jump in attendance on the Weekend, but WDW is more crowded on the weekends everywhere.

Hope this helps.

I thought the towels were "rentals" for $1.00 each?? Not a bad price but not free either. :)

Thanks for the informatiom Benjo. Just what we were thinking. But nice to have a opinion from someone who has been there.

Thank you Ellen AKA Snow White. Yes I have seen post here on this boards for cost of towels but not for sure how much either.

Any one else have an opinion??

I think you're right. I'm starting to recall that now. Still, a buck isn't too bad. Most water parks will charge at least $5 for a towel.

Both of the parks offer free inner tubes, which is another nice touch. A lot of water parks I've been too have very few "community" tubes, and then expect you to rent one for a fee if you want your own.

We always drive instead of taking the bus. If you go to TL, the marketplace is right down the street so we go there after we are finished. I am not sure about renting towels since we always bring them from the hotel. If you do drive, bring an extra towel for the car because the seat gets very hot. Also it is better in the morning because you are more able to get a chair. Weekends would probably be more crowded with local people.

Thanks for posting Buzz2400.
Anyone else got an opinion or plan of tour for the water parks.
