We have Narcoossee's ressies for dec. 26th...can we try for something better?

Hi everyone,

We will be in orlando Christmas week (though probably not spending much time at the parks due to the crowds ). We managed to get Narcoossee's reservations at 8:45 on the 26th. I really am looking forward to having a nice Disney magical dinner that evening (with fireworks), and have been trying to get California Grill reservations (but that's not happening). Can anyone suggest anything? Should I just keep calling wdw-dine asking for openings? Or can someone name another restaurant we would enjoy?

...Or, should I just stick with Narcoossee's? Can you see the fireworks with an 8:45 ressie? Any comments about the restaurant would be great as well.

Narcoossee's is very good, so food wise I would not worry too much.

You can keep trying for the Cali Grill, but just do not get your hopes up.
Things do open up, but it will come down to luck.

As for the fireworks, I think you can see them from there but I am not positive.
If I recall correctly it may depend on your table.
Maybe someone else can comment. What time are the fireworks that night?

If you’re in between courses you may be able to let your waiter know and step out to watch the fireworks.

I don't know the timing of the fireworks for that day, but you can go outside on the wrap-aound deck to watch them. We always do that if we eat there while the fireworks are on. We love Narcoossee's, so I think you will be very pleased with the meal.

We actually prefer Narcoossee's to California Grill. You will be fine!

I'd stick with what you've got. Food is excellent and, as another poster said, you can go outside on the deck to watch the fireworks if they are on during your meal.

Narcoosee's has a long, wide deck facing Seven Seas Lagoon. You get a great view of Wishes. Many diners go out on the deck to watch (but some don't, so check the window behind you and try to not block a view).
