Check out this story in today's Orlando Sentinel detailing upgrades to Spaceship Earth. I love the ride, but increasingly, it seems in need of a bit of TLC. I hope they sort out the mechanism and make it smoother.

I agree with the "smoother" bit. I always end up with a bruised head after this ride. Having said that I love it, and I hope it isn't closed when we go.

Glad to hear they are gonna update it....it is looking a little dated now. Having said that I cannot do a visit to Epcot without doing this ride.

I'm glad they are doing something with the unloading area. It always seemed a little sad coming out into a bare space.

Thanx for the link, i have to agree with Kevin that it's sad and bare when you come out of the ride, i'm gona be visiting early Dec and it won't be the same if it's closed but it'll be better next time i suppose

I agree with Kev, it will be interesting to see what they are doing with the unloading area.
