I had posted a couple of weeks ago and asked for advice, as my hubby had a minor heart attack, followed by a quad bypass. He is doing fantastic and I know now the cruise will be something to look forward to and enjoy! My question is since he is going to be on a low fat diet, can Disney modify his meal choices or do we have to rely on the regular menu and hope there are items he can choice on his own???? Thanks!

Absolutely! Just call DCL or your TA. Let them know your needs. They have a form that they send you that needs to be completed by his physician. Then they will modify his meals as necessary.

Hi Michelle,

I mentioned your question on my weekly call with my DD who's a CM on the Magic. She said to discuss your needs with Guest Services the afternoon you get on the ship and they'll make notes. Also alert the Head Server and your table servers.

She said they had a little girl in the Club within the last month who was awaiting a heart transplant so she had extremely restricted meal requirements. When she was in the club and they were heading for meals, they just contacted the chef and let them know that "Pixie" needed a meal and they sent a special meal to wherever the kids were eating.

If they'll go to that much trouble to get a special meal to a special place for the little ones, it should be a piece of cake to have your hubby's special meal provided in the restaurant.
