Rolled into Nashville about 30 minutes ago, and are all hooked up and ready for bed! Thankfully we could convert furniture into beds as we rolled down the road so the kids have been asleep for hours.

Finally got internet set up here.

We are at the KOA in Nashville, and it's really nice! We had 2 long days to get down here in time for DH to set up his class today. I hit the CKC convention for a few classes (missed my first one, but got the kit) the second one was Copic Markers I, DS10 took that with me and it was really good. I now have a handle on how to use them, I just need to practice! LOL
The convention and DH's convention are at the Gaylord Opryland hotel and all I can say is the place is AMAZING!!!!!! It's like a cross between the Poly (the waterfalls) and the Grand Floridian, only a million times better!! (sorry Disney!) LOL
Tomorrow DH teaches all day so we are hanging here, playing games, swimming, etc.

So the kids crack me up, they don't get the south and southern people. Every time we stop, people say hi, ask questions, etc. They kids are all "who was that?" "do you know them?" etc. I had to laugh!! I'm like "no, honey that's the way people are down here."

Anyway, everyone is having a good time. The kids are being really good too, I guess they are taken with RV life! LOL

That hotel is amazing! We had to walk through it while in Nashville just to see what all the fuss was about...totally lives up to the fuss! PS Always take a look at the VIP check in room off to the side of the lobby, that is where the famous check-in, you never know who you might see.

Cracking up at your kiddos! My family is from the south and I have deep southern roots. My DH was the same as your kids until he got used to it.

Happy to hear you had a fun time....funny about the kids with the southern hospitality, took me a while to get used to it when we lived down south!

hope the dr can help you feel better...I got sun poisoning once, not fun, take it easy and stay out of the sun!

A funny story--my first year working (it was at a middle school), we took a busload of 60 6th,7th, and 8th graders to a convention there. Well, all went great until the last morning. One of the little girls had never seen an in-the-ceiling sprinkler, and she thought it was a rack to hang her clothes on to dry. It literally poured 100s of gallons of water into the room, through the floor, and down into our room (we were right below them). Needless to say, I was SO glad to get back home from that trip!!

I'm about the Southern Hospitality!! We do like to talk down here!

SIOH, I wish we had a car, I would have tried to find a way to meet up since we were so close!!

I finally got a little bit of rest this afternoon, now I'm itching til it hurts again.
I saw the dermatologist and she gave me some meds, but then I saw my Dr this afternoon because DS15 had an appt, he gave me something better, redressed the wounds and gave me some better advice. I love my DR!!

The itching is the worst part, and I can't scratch so I've been doing the weave pat. Anyone who's ever had a weave in there hair knows what I'm talking about!! LOL I've even got the kids patting the parts I can't reach!

Tomorrow DH is taking pics of my back to send on to coppertone. I think we got a bad batch of sunscreen. Thankfully DS9 was wearing a shirt and DD has DH's skin tone. they are both ok, the other 2 and myself got burned, me being the worst. I'm so glad the boys didn't get this bad!!
