We have arrived!

We flew in yesterday, and started our trip off last night with Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. The kids had a blast. We saw Goofy of course, Minnie, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Aladdin, and Jasmine.
Kids were up at 3:40am California time! We are headed into DL today! It was very nice of the weather to drop a few degrees for us! It's only supposed to be 88 instead of 90 something. (I'll take what I can get).

Oh, and we were back in our hotel and fast asleep by fireworks time last night....we are staying at the Fairfield. I heard them LOUD and Clear, I had to get up and went to the window, we had a perfect view! We are on the 8th floor right across from the matter horn. People were gathered out on the walkway watching. I didn't realize we would have such a good view of fireworks from here!

This is our 2nd stay at the Fairfield, and we like it just fine. It is nothing fancy, but the rooms are fairly large and they are clean with comfortable beds. The walk is not bad, we do it easily with 2 small children.


About pictures...I do have some pics......but I have yet to figure out how to upload them here. It sounds like you all on here use Photo Bucket?? I will have to mess around later and figure this out!

We arrived at the gate this morning at 7:40am, so we got started right at 8:00 opening. We went straight to Adventure Land. Indy was down for awhile, so we went to Pirates, walked on. Then to Haunted Mansion...very cool with the Halloween Overlay!!! This we waited all of about 3 minutes..maybe. Big Thunder Mtn RR had about a 10 minute wait. Indy still down, so we did Splash Mtn, with no wait. Winnie the Pooh was just a couple mins. We tried Jungle cruise, but as we were about to board, they made everybody back out of the line, the ride was down. But Indy was back up finally, so we got FP's and went to POTC again (I love this ride, and it's down for refurb after today). Then went back to Indiana Jones. It was now about 11:00. By this time the crowds started rolling in, and things were getting busy, But we accomplished alot within the first few hours!

The weather started off chilly this morning, but it's been a nice day, hot but not too bad at all. Of course we are back at the Hotel taking a break, and heading back out soon hoping to see Fantasmic tonight for the first time ever. It's been a great first day at DLR! Of course any day at DLR is a great day

Sorry to have to tell you, but Pirates will be down for rehab. Storybookland Canal Boats and Casey Jr. Circus Train are down as well.

It's POTC, but don't worry. They're just down for this week. Scheduled to be back this Friday or Sat (don't remember which).
