We are staying at the POLY the week before Christmas, DD, DW, DD19 and DS 16. I think we could use the rooms with two sinks for the girls but I really want to be close to all the action at the CH. We’ve stayed at the Tokelau long house and I remember thinking it was a long way from all the action. Any suggestions? Have anyone stayed in a LH with two sinks and have a good experience? :confused3

Thanks!

We stayed in Tahiti w/ 2 sinks, the room was very large, we loved it! We had our own "private" beach right outside! TTC to go to Epcot was a short walk next door. The walk to GCH was a bit, but it is beautiful! I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Good luck!

Thanks Cara.
I am leaning that way of late. I think the two sinks and room size will help. We just got back from a weekend in a Marriott with smaller room size and were really crowded in the sink/bathroom area. We are staying 7 nights so maybe the extra room will help.

Tokelau is my favorite! We liked being close to the quiet pool and the TTC was a close walk. We also had a partial LV for a GV price! I don't remember thinking that the volcano pool or GCH was that far. Although, that could be because I don't mind the walk there, especially in the evening with the torches lit.

I know that probably isn't what you wanted to hear since you have stayed there, but we really did enjoy the location.

Have a great trip!:goodvibes

My family stayed in Tuvalu (sp?) in 2001. Initially I was very disappointed because I had requested another LH and felt like Tuvalu was too far away from GCH and the pool (our kids were 2, 5 and 6 at the time). In the end, the LH and room were great and it really wasn't that far at all. Even with a toddler and a stroller, it wasn't a big deal. The 2 sinks and large room was GREAT with a family of 5!!

Thanks guys.
It's interesting that y'all have recommended LHs further away form the GCH.
Hmmmm

I believe that Tahiti and Rapa Nui have double sinks. They are the longhouses that were built later. If you would like more info on the pros and cons of each of the longhouses, google Tikiman and check out his site (we're not allowed to post the link to his site).

We stayed in the Tahiti building in July and we really liked our room. It was large and comfortable, and had double sinks. The only two things that were a real downfall was the fact that the sinks were inside the bathroom instead of out, and that Tahiti was a long way from the Great Ceremonial House.

Thanks again for the information.
But I still don't know what to do............
:santa:

I like having two sinks also . . .but if you want to be closer to GCH and get a LH with one sink there is a simple solution to counter space if that is the problem.

We bring an over the door shoe holder with us and clip it to the bathroom door and put all our supplies in there so that way there is NOTHING on the counters . . .makes more room for everyone!:thumbsup2

The over the door shoe holder thing sounds like an interesting idea.
Thanks!
