We got back last week and we had a great trip and great weather, we went to Cocoa Beach first for a couple of days. Then onto the WDW with the crew. We stayed at the Boardwalk, we had beautiful rooms with beautiful views. But the highlight of the trip is when my daughter and her boyfriend went to the castle for dinner and he proposed to her. It was so romantic. I would like to thank all of you who came up with the great ideas of how he could pop the question ( I knew ahead of time, but my daughter didn't have a clue) so her boyfriend asked me if I had any ideas of how he should go about it and I told him not to worry that my friends at the Dis boards would come through, and boy did they!! He liked and used the idea that used the crystal glass slipper as the ring presentation. It was engraved on the side "Will you Marry Me?". Is that romantic or what! The whole staff at the restaurant was in on it and they did a fabulous job, the only glitch was they gave them the best table in the house that overlooked the MK and while her bf was getting up to propose, she was looking out the window and peter pan and captain hook started a sword fight outside and she was so interested in that, that she didn't realize what he was trying to do. She said looking back it was pretty funny. Anyway it all worked out and the whole restaurant was clapping. Later that night they went to Jellyrolls (great place) and they had them get up on stage and announced their engagement and they did all these fun songs. They had a blast!! We all did!! :goodvibes

Glad you all had such a great time, and congratulations to your daughter and her boyfriend. :D

Wow, that was romantic. :)

What a wonderful way to become engaged. She'll remember this for the rest of her life!

Best wishes to the bride to be and congrats to the groom to be.

are they going to have a disneymoon too??

I am not sure about the honeymoon yet, they have to work that out but I am pulling for Disney World, but thay is totally up to them. Right now we are all too busy trying to plan a wedding!!:bride: :lovestruc :groom:

I though that was the rule - if you become engaged at WDW - you MUST honeymoon there.

At least...that's what my DH told me when he was planning our honeymoon at WDW.

;)

hehehe - congrats to the bride and groom to be! Hold onto your hat - it's a long/bumpy ride...but totally worth everything in the end!

Okay, I just changed my mind about how I would like to be proposed to. It used to be on the scoreboard at a baseball game. Now it's at the castle with a glass slipper!! (Reminded me of that Disney commercial a few years ago: "He got me a shoe!")

Congrats!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

Awwwww, I just LOVE those kind of stories! Thanks for sharing.

My DD, Krnb and her DH were married one year ago next month, so I can understand how hectic planning a wedding is! Be sure to enjoy from beginning to end! ::yes::

we are still trying to figure that out, she would like it either May or early June or early September 2005!! Alot of the good dates are already taken at most of the wedding places.
