We have been to WDW in May and August, but this was the first time at Christmas. We had a great trip, but have never come back to winter and it sucks..... We are having good temperatures for right now, but no palm trees, dry clean roads, nice green trees and grass and really, really nice weather. I actually feel really depressed after this one. :confused3 I am trying to go off the memories. I was just wondering if anyone else felt this bad when coming back to snow??? I know it is awful to complain, seeing we just went. I will have to live through other diser's that are planning and going. Keep the dream alive that we will either go again soon or move there. Mean while I will hope for a really early Spring.

Its not coming back to the snow that is depressing , it is just coming home after spending Christmas at WDW

I don't know what it was about this trip but we are feeling the same. Maybe it is the weather, we usually go in April and come back to not bad weather.
How was your trip?

I remember the first time we spent Christmas at Disneyland (just before) and I felt the same way. Anytime I go around Christmas now I make sure I have lots happening at home after I get back and that seems to help!

We were sad to leave as well. Even though the weather was cool on our trip we just returned yesterday and 2 nights were below freezing:cold: we miss the palm trees, beautiful landscaping and of course all the FUN. The only thing to do is hang out here on the Dis:disrocks: and look at pictures and start planning another trip.:yay:

Csaks: Our trip was outstanding!!!! We couldn't have asked for more.
Csaks, I agree. I am sure it is the weather, as we went in late April/ beginning May 07 and when we got back it was green, no snow and getting warm for shorts and outdoor stuff. Now I feel stuck in my house and depressed.

We are planning on going right after christmas this year and coming back just before the kids go back to school. Were the parks too busy, or would you do it again? We have two boys 12 & 10 who really like rides and not waiting in long lines!

If you didn't have winter, you wouldn't enjoy the warm winter get-aways now would you:)

i am worried about the same thing happening when we come back next month. I went last Feb and immediately began planning for our trip this Feb but after this trip it will be quite a few years before we go back.:guilty:

so, i don't know what i will do after this trip as i have spent more time on this site in the past months then i care to admit ;).

Disneyfan2 : You and many of us will just have to hope for a early, early Spring.
Holidaygirl: We loved it. My kids are 9 & 7. We went with the idea that it will be crazy nuts and choose the must do things before we left. We used TGM for what parks to go to each day. We do not like to get up early. We never went to ONE rope drop. We would go around 10 or 11a.m., get a set of fastpasses first do a couple things get another set as soon as we could and then take a break and come back in the evening. We did everything and more that we wanted to do. I would do it again in a heartbeat! We had a 6 day NON-hopper pass. We did not need a hopper at all. There were times that were nuts and others that were fine. Late nights at MK were awesome. It was open till 1 am. We would do the same as above and come back around 8pm and stay till close. We would use our fastpasses and lots of things we walked on or wait 5 minutes in the late evening.

This is off topic, but does any know of any Canadians that has moved to Florida? My husband really wants to and I am not sure???

I get depressed every time we come home, no matter what month or season it is. We were in WDW this Christmas as well and came home to rain, rain and more rain, although it was a white Christmas here I heard. Can't wait to go back in April :)

Thanks for your reply, it's good to know that the parks are still managable, I was contemplating changing our dates to Feb. of '09 due to the reports on the boards at how busy the parks were.

My mom did, I'm so envious. I love the palm trees and gorgeous landscaping too. She went from cold, cold WPG to being in TO for summers and Florida for winters now.

I was in Florida for the last week of Feb and the first week of March last year and as soon as I got back, I was instantly looking forward to this years trip. And now that we are finally adding in WDW to our Florida trips, it's just going to get worse, I'm sure.

I'm so happy I found this board!!!

We drive to WDW and the absolute best part of the drive is watching the snow disappear and looking for the first palm trees. The down side is of course, driving home and seeing the snow again. Last spring we got caught in a blizzard and had to stay overnight at a Holiday Inn on our way. I start planning our next road trip the minute I get home. It takes me a couple of weeks to get out of my funk!

Oh my goodness! There is nothing like that. A road trip to kiss spring or summer or something in between. Oh boy do I love road trips to Florida in the winter!
