I'm so excited as I managed to get reservations for Victoria and Albert's for our Disney date night. We have reservations for 5:45 and the boys are going for their own fun night out at Neverland Club. Thanks so much to everyone who answered my earlier question about trying V&A, your positive reponses help me to decide!

Would you do the wine pairings as well? We'd like the meal to be as special as possible.

Thanks!

Awesome!! You will LOVE it. And we want to hear all about it! I'm going there two weeks from today:yay:

For two people, it does make sense to do the wine pairings. With a bigger group, you could work with the sommelier to pick a number of bottles that might be even better than the pairings.

But they do a great job with the pairings and put a lot of thought into them. I've even had them pour two different wines for a particular course to see which one I thought paired better (it was with a new menu item and they wanted some feedback from diners). I love little touches like that.

We did the same thing (V&A's/kids to Neverland Club) and it worked out great.

Yes, with one caveat--don't feel obligated to drink every bit of every glass. It will catch up with you.

We split the wine pairings generally. It's too much wine for me so I will either just have a taste of my husband's glass or I will just order a glass, usually a red to go with my meat course. The wines have always been good, I just can't stand being toasted already at the fish coarse. :rotfl:

And be careful not to fill up on the bread. It's so good that you'll want to eat a ton of it.
